Learn how to adjust colors and tones in your images using Color Range and Luminosity Masks in ON1 Photo RAW. Color Range masks are great for applying adjustments to specific colors in your photograph while Luminosity Masks are perfect for applying masks to certain tones (shadows, midtones, highlights). In this video, we will start by applying a Color Range Mask to incorporate adjustments to blue colors in a sky. From there, we’ll learn how Luminosity Masks can help target bright and dark areas in landscapes.

I haven’t really used the luminosity mask yet, I’ve pretty much just created a mask of an overall area and adjusted it that way. I can see the benefits of using the luminosity mask though to keep more tonal consistency throughout the scene. I’ll practice with it now.
