In the Seashell process, you darkened the sides twice , first painting out the sunshine filter, and then using the line mask to darken the edges again. is there a reason for this ?

But why in ON1 increasing contrast means only “to darken the dark” without “to lighting the light”. In my opinion it should mean both.
