I’m frequently asked, what do you do when you’re in a spectacular location, but you don’t have great clouds or great light for a landscape shoot? Having just returned from Glacier National Park where we had severe clear conditions for our grand landscape shoot of Lake MacDonald, I’m primed to share some tips and a full start-to-finish edit of a cloudless dawn image that I love. Along the way I’ll share some sights and adventures from Glacier as well as some tips for how I deal with photographing in harsh midday light.
