Creatively Enhance Photos with Split Toning

Learn how to create stylistic looking photos using split toning inside ON1 Photo RAW. Using split toning you can take your photo to new levels. Simply choose which color you want to use for your highlights and which color to use for shadows. Once you have your color tones picked, you can start editing the split tone controls to create a unique look. Remember to try colors that are going to improve upon your photo.
Using the hue slider will change the color of your shadow or highlights and the amount slider will add or remove color. The balance slider will help you balance the highlight and shadow colors evenly throughout your photo. Another great way to use split toning would be to apply it to a black and white photo. Split toning in black and white can help you achieve those vintage looks that are very popular today.

Very pleased with the scope and clarity of how to optimize the use of split toning. Confession–I’ve been using this tool ‘wrong’ for a long time. Thanks so much for the opportunity to improve my skills.

Many thanks. I had no idea what that particular tool was for until I watched this. Very useful.
