For many, like me, Photoshop was a mountain too high to climb. Yes, I suffered through it for the creation of book covers, but for photography when using Lightroom, I felt like I was being held prisoner to Adobe’s marketing plans. Adobe didn’t want to move Photoshop features (that I needed) to Lightroom too quickly so as to preserve their marketing differentiation. ON1 is designed for photographers like. I don’t want it laden with graphic arts capability to the detriment of an easy to use application that follows a familiar user paradigm. So years ago, I left the Adobe world (it still haunts my computer with hidden files) and have never looked back. It was an easy decision.
