OK, this was so tricky of you guys. Ask me to create an image in my backyard during an Oregon winter, and a really wet and snowy Oregon winter at that? Everything is soggy, dead, dirty and gross looking. If I try and do a spring cleaning and landscaping for this challenge, then more February and March storms will just ruin my hard work.

I could go all macro and focus on an interesting detail and exclude all the ugliness, or wait a minute — maybe I should go ultra-wide, maybe even wider than ultra-wide. That’s it. A panoramic of my house and studio so wide angle that only my choice of foreground stands out while all the messy details are lost in the bigger picture. Will that work? Here’s a video of the attempt.
