About the ON1 Photo RAW Project

The ON1 Photo RAW Project gives you the chance to be a part of what we're developing at ON1. You have a voice in the future of photo editing. Your ideas will help us deliver the best available apps for photography, give us insight into what's most important, and help spark innovation.

You must log in to submit an idea.

Share Your Ideas

Share your ideas for new Photo RAW features. Make sure you write a convincing description. Remember, people won't be able to give an idea a high rating unless they understand the idea completely.

Tell Your Friends

With supporters, your ideas will get higher ratings. In fact, tell everyone you know to support your idea. The more ratings an idea gets, the more likely it will be sent to our product development team.

ON1 Will Review It

After an idea reaches 200 ratings with a 3-star or higher rating, the project team will review the details and begin asking questions. We can't put every good idea into development, but we'll try!

ON1 Photo RAW Ideas

It would be nice to be able to navigate to a folder in Browse by typing in a letter as is done in Windows Explorer. It would be so much faster than scrolling down all of the folders.
Have the ability to Target an album to quickly add photos to the selected Album with a shortcut key. For example if I have an album called Zoo, have the ability to make that a Targeted Album where photos can quickly be added to it by using a shortcut key. Right now when I want...
Allow spot removal to be placed on a layer so it can be managed like other adjustments and be easily modified later.

Hi. I think it would be really great if you returned the version 2018 feature whereby double clicking on a RAW file opened directly into On1 Photo rather than only opening into the enclosed folder. As an event photographer I often go back to a folder of photos on my iMac desktop and use the...
If I select a raw file and use the “send to application” capability of ON1 Photo Raw, it always first processes the raw file, saves a new file to disk (as TIFF, JPEG or PSD) and then sends the new file to the application. I would like the ability to seamlessly use the ON1 Photo...
I would love to have the ability to specify which camera profile I want applied for all images opened for editing.  Had this feature in LR and miss it as I have to apply Camera Neutral every time I open a photo and if I forget it defaults to ON1 standard so I have to...

When I select pictures in “browse” modus and go to “Edit”, I can not deselect the pictures in the filmstrip. So, in Edit when I do a modification for all the pictures I have to go back to browse to “deselect” all the pictures so that I can go back to edit and start modifying...
when I have a folder open and I double click on a keyword in the keyword master list it searches all catalogued folders even those not connected. I then have to go to the left filters search panel and untick search catalogued folders box. the default should be to search the current folder and subfolders...

Hello. Sometimes I occasionally use another application to do some more creative editing. The ON1 “send to other application” feature is great and works well, but as far as I can see can only be accessed from the Browse module. I would like it to to be available from the Edit module too, to save...

Hi. It would be very useful to import photos from an SD card, for example, by having an “import …” command available in a popup that appears by clicking the right mouse button on a specific folder. Right now, in this popup appears an “export …” command. The idea is to incorporate a new command...

Hi, I have been an avid user of On1 PR since the early days and have seen it grow into a huge program with excellent capabilities over and above what Is available on other programs on the market. And here’s my issue. On1 seem to have tried to pack so much into the program that,...

I would love to see Photo Raw implement the ability to simply open a processed file into Photoshop without the need to create any additional files. For example, In Lightroom, you can edit/process your RAW file, hit Command + E (or right click Edit In > Edit In Adobe Photoshop) and the file will open inside...

In the field I edit on a 13″ laptop computer. So in edit mode I work my way from top (“Exposure”) scrolling down to bottom (“Sharpening”) and then hit the right arrow key to switch to the next photo. But now I have to scroll up to get to the beginning of my workflow which...
Clicking on Filters et Effects module we get this pop-up box, fine. But as we use ON1 PR more and more, this lacks responsiveness and fast operating. I don’t need anymore the preview image on the right (I never need actually). I never use some filters (ie Antique or Vintage). But I would be happy...
I often use the Film Strip in Dev module (F), very handy. As I navigate in this strip, I want to see a larger and more comprehensive view of the photos by selecting the Grid (G). But ON1 get me back to the photo selected, not the area I was viewing in the strip. Not...

Sometimes the auto sticking doesn’t use all images. The ability to add unused images and move each image after auto panorama doesn’t work. also being able to altar each image individually in the panorama window ( colour, distortion) rather than having to close and go back to each image and change, then redoing pano.
Several of the presets offered as free benefits to members include adjustments in Develop. The thing is, you don’t know if a preset does that until you apply it. Frustrating after you have spent some time making your own adjustments. Provide a toggle that offers apply / do not apply Develop adjustments on presets. Better,...

Please add the “Select All” and “Select None” commands to the Edit menu located in the Develop module.  The need for this feature occurs when you want to apply a batch edit to a group of photos.  There is no command available in the Develop module to “Select None” after a group of photos have...
It would be very useful the add a feature to the HDR command where the system starting from a selected image automatically create 3-5 copies of the same image having a different exposure (-/+ 1 EV or have the possibility to set the EV interval) and then merge them to create the HDR effects. The...

If necessary, it’s convenient to zoom at 200 or 300% on a picture. If so, after working on some details, I zoom out (Fit) to view the result. To zoom again à 300% I have to re-enter this value in the upper zoom menu, or three times “Cmd +”. So tedious… I would love to...

Very simple, but handy. As I zoom (Cmd +) I would like to zoom where my mouse is set, not in the center of the image as it works currently.

Current Behavior Go to Browse View. Enable filtering and enter some criteria. For example, only show “liked” photos. Navigate to a different folder. Poof! The filtering criteria you just entered is now cleared. Filtering remains enabled, but the criteria is removed. Proposed Behavior Go to Browse View. Enable filtering and enter some criteria. For example,...

When editing, it would be very usefull to have the possibility to switch to the browse without automatically saving the modification done. Even better, when moving from Edit to Browse it should be possible to display a message windows asking if it is ok to save the latest modifications carried out (yes or not) and,...

Oftentimes I do some work on in multiple layers and then change my mind and wish to discard that work.  In 2018.5 there was an easy option to cancel the work, but not in 2019.1.  Instead all the layers must be deleted in turn or the program saves the work in a large .onphoto file. ...
I would also like to make a request that you enhance the HDR/Panorama functions to work together. I shoot HDR landscapes am currently considering PTGui Pro for meeting the need of being able to easily merge the HDR and Panoramic Functions into one seamless action. Please consider enhancing these two features to allow those of...

I notice that if you are in layers and decide to discontinue with the work you are doing, you cannot return immediately to Browse. The project you are working on is saved when you don’t want it and this takes time. Whereas in ON1 Raw 2018 there was a save/close button and if you clicked...

Leaving aside creating a pano, I normally use my Nikon D850 in max resolution to create my RAW images. With the size of my base layer in mind, like Photoshop, On1 creates its layer stack based on the background layer. When using Photoshop, whenever I can, I flatten the image in order to control the ...
