About the ON1 Photo RAW Project

The ON1 Photo RAW Project gives you the chance to be a part of what we're developing at ON1. You have a voice in the future of photo editing. Your ideas will help us deliver the best available apps for photography, give us insight into what's most important, and help spark innovation.

You must log in to submit an idea.

Share Your Ideas

Share your ideas for new Photo RAW features. Make sure you write a convincing description. Remember, people won't be able to give an idea a high rating unless they understand the idea completely.

Tell Your Friends

With supporters, your ideas will get higher ratings. In fact, tell everyone you know to support your idea. The more ratings an idea gets, the more likely it will be sent to our product development team.

ON1 Will Review It

After an idea reaches 200 ratings with a 3-star or higher rating, the project team will review the details and begin asking questions. We can't put every good idea into development, but we'll try!

ON1 Photo RAW Ideas

Good Evening Guys! A lot of us users coming from Lightroom are eagerly waiting for a support of the Loupedeck+ platform. It really speeds up our workflow and I don’t think it would require an incredible amount of work to support it? I guess most of the work is done by them so maybe contacting...

I would like to copy just one or a selection of the adjustments for a specific image and paste it/them to other images. It would work similar to copy settings, only that not all adjustments are copied. When pasting the adjustment should be added to the current setting
Gestures really speed up workflow and make things delightful and natural to use. PLEASE support gestures for e.g. scrolling, zooming, changing tool sizes while using,… my suggestion is to go simple and start by adding support for ZOOM and PAN using mouse touchpad  or mac touchpad.
I miss dragging and dropping a layer from filmstrip in edit view to the new layer stack. Being able to do a right click there to add as a layer would be welcome as well.   Thanks

Lightroom feature would be awesome for real estate photographers! Stack for each HDR grouping – then batch process. BAM! Just a thought  It takes a lot of time to process 30 HDR for a shoot – I find myself reverting to LR.
Is it possible to automated stack recognition and create a “presets” with a proper type of stacking (exposure bracketing for HDR, focus bracketing for stacking…) as starting points for further processing?
It is annoying to have to reset the brush size every time you select between a brush or mask tool and back . It always goes back to 250 which is never the size I need. Also, the size selector is too small for making fine adjustments, why can’t it be spread out a bit...

I would rather edit in On1 instead of Lightroom, but I NEED the ability the ability to see ALL images buy date, camera, lens etc. and not have to search through hundreds of folders to find a file. Lightroom has this feature but its Develop module is lacking, and I have to use Lightroom to...
One workflow is to work on successive source files, getting them as polished as you can get them; you have several works in progress, none of them complete. In this workflow, when you export the file, the filename is always the last-used filename overall, not the last-used filename for this particular image. On1 Raw should...
First of all. ON1 has an incredible number of good features. Impressive. With my first idea I want to address the wokflow. In every corner there are icons and tabs, or sliders. I am looking again and again in all 4 directions. I wish to bring the palettes together more. That means to merge functions...
I would like the ability to duplicate a filter.  For example, I sometimes use several blur filters, once I set the first one I would like to duplicate it as many times as I need to get the effect I’m looking for.
On many presets such as Dynamic Range I would like the ability to create a saved preset and make it my default so each time I select Dynamic Contrast or any other filter it will apply my default preset.

When in an album I go to edit a photo or just want to find a photo in the browse module.  When in the album I would like to have the option to right click and navigate to the photo in the folder structure of the browse module.
I use masks a lot and often create one which I use with many filters at once.  Trouble is… I sometimes change my mind about the mask!  This means I have to create the new mask in one filter and copy/paste the revised mask to all the others.    I would like the ability to...
1) When creating an album we can immediately select to make it nested within another album. e.g Create a US folder… then create a California folder that can be immediately created within the US folder. Right click US folder and drop down choice would be ‘create subfolder’ and enter a name. Of course we should...

Please bring back the file “Save as” option. For those of use who are infrequent users, changing to a different system of saving files creates confusion and then errors occur. Please do not use initials in your dialogs without explaining the full meaning at least once. E.g., LUT…….we should not have to look this up...

Using ON1 2018 as a plugin from Lightroom, (Edit-In/ON1 Effects), the crop tool in ON1 is disabled, the help I found on this says that the crop tool is disabled because I can crop in Lightroom(!!!!!!?). Doesnt matter if I go to Effects or Develop, its still disabled…. Can the crop tool be enabled please?

Two things I miss when browsing. 1) at the strip on the bottom an arrow to move the strip at each side would help a lot or (plus) a second way. If you click on the outer most image it could spring to the visible center of the strip. Lightroom does both. 2) the mouse...

It would be useful to be able to have a shortcut that allows deletion of disliked photos without having to enable filter, select them, then delete them. As a first pass I always mark photos that I want to delete. Having an easier way to delete them would expedite that process

I prefer to evaluate an image with an edge surrounding it. At the moment I use the 25% zoom button and it mostly works, but that setting is not remembered when using the Crop tool and the zoom is too large for vertical images. A slider next to the zoom buttons with a fixed edge...
Sometimes all I want to do is copy & paste one filter with certain settings to several photos without using presets and without overwriting the present filter stack in each image.
In Effects Module, I have a photo with multiple filters. I want to reorder the filters in the stack. I like to use Solo Mode so the filters only show the name of the filter. When I click (and hold) on a filter to move it in the stack, it automatically expands and pushes the...

When doing work in curves (either in Develop or in Tone Enhancer in effects) it would help a lot to be able to do the following: Remove a point from the curve Reset one curve only (i.e. remove all points) For Tone Enhancer additionally: reset the whole Curves section, without resetting all the filter settings
In Browse when you expand the Cataloged Folders automatically scroll to the folder with the active photo.  Now, you have to roll through the folder structure from the root level to arrive at the folder with the active photo.

1 . I would like to go to the next image while using the crop tool. In Lightroom this works when just using command + right cursor. And while you are in crop mode the normal cursor just work to finetune the position until you , the user , goes out of the crop tool, and...

Instances such as busy scenes against complex backgrounds require a tool such as average (median, mean, and more) – found in photoshop and would be so welcome in On1. It works by taking multiple shots of a scene and the use of an averaging tool removes objects that change in the scene – making it...

When shooting with a micro 4/3 camera, I usually set the camera to crop the image in a 3:2 format. When I import the RAW images to On Photo RAW the used cropping format is the native 4:3, it would be nice to apply the 3:2 cropping factored (the information is embedded in the image...

When syncing image adjustments, It would be nice to have an option menu to select which adjustments to “Sync”, including “Cropping”. Just as “Sync Settings” in Lightroom.

I reopen pictures to try new settings. A lot of times I fiddle with the sliders and don’t like the results and would like to reset the file to the opening state. It would be nice to have a single button reset to the opening state. I don’t want to have to create a new...
I realized when I am in “Film Strip” or “Compare View” and I move a picture from the bottom into another “Cataloged Folders”, the view mode jumps back to “detail view”. This is time consuming while you’re sorting your images. To continue you have to switch back to the right view and also scroll to the...
