About the ON1 Photo RAW Project

The ON1 Photo RAW Project gives you the chance to be a part of what we're developing at ON1. You have a voice in the future of photo editing. Your ideas will help us deliver the best available apps for photography, give us insight into what's most important, and help spark innovation.

You must log in to submit an idea.

Share Your Ideas

Share your ideas for new Photo RAW features. Make sure you write a convincing description. Remember, people won't be able to give an idea a high rating unless they understand the idea completely.

Tell Your Friends

With supporters, your ideas will get higher ratings. In fact, tell everyone you know to support your idea. The more ratings an idea gets, the more likely it will be sent to our product development team.

ON1 Will Review It

After an idea reaches 200 ratings with a 3-star or higher rating, the project team will review the details and begin asking questions. We can't put every good idea into development, but we'll try!

I’d like to see a way to establish user created categories of keywords and, with the click of a button a way to see those keywords organized within the categories. For instance, Architecture could be a user created category, as well as a keyword. However, other user created keywords could be organized within the Architecture...

It would be nice to be able to edit the keyword database to remove unwanted keywords and inadvertent typo’s!

Please make it possible to delete keywords. I have many images with different keywords. There is one keyword I would like to remove from all images. This is not possible (at least I don’t know how) as if I select all the images there are only the keywords displayed for the last clicked image, so...

During the browse process in Photo RAW I need the ability to enter data into the keyword field, then move to the next or prior image in browse without losing focus in the keyword field. The process would be something like this: 1. Double click on first image in browse to make it fill the...

It would be nice to have the option to create presets based on the exif data you add to a file. Things like Author, Copyright, Usage Terms etc. is usually the same and having the opportunity to create presets for this would have been nice. If I am not mistaken Lightroom have an option for...

I Lightroom’s Keyword List extensively. I have a specific structure to my keywords that makes it easy for me to use a DLNA media server like JR Media Center and instantly create slideshows that are displayed on my TV. This is a huge hit with friends and family and sparks many conversations. Please bring a...

make possible to turn off / remove / cancel on1 keywords to stop the frustration of keywords coming back into LR as a single list instead of into the LR hierarchy — things get messy

While the popup suggestion concept for entry of keywords is good, it is also susceptible to entry of mistakes in the database. Several modifications should be considered. Add a keyword manager function that would allow the user to organize the keyword database and eliminate entry errors; Provide a way to establish keyword sets that could...

In Browse, you can currently only filter by a few parameters. I want to be able to filter on any EXIF data, multiple keywords in combination, etc. Basically, make it at least as powerful as the filtering options in smart albums. Even better would be to make it as powerful as filtering in Aperture.

will you be adding keyword sets to ON1 Raw. As a stock photographer I have a assign keywords to photos. Capture One allows you to develop a set of keywords base on the subject and stores those keywords as a save set so you go back to Bluebird(as an example) and all the keywords are...

I would like the ability to add metadata such as keywords to a folder, therefore adding the metadata to all images contained in that folder. A great start to adding common keywords to all the images in a project or event folder.

I know many folk never touch keywording so this will not be for you.  Those of us that use images for our work often rely heavily on key-wording for searching, a single photo may show many features (I am an ecologist, I may need to tag locations, habitats, animals, vegetation, climate, etc., all in one...

Would love to see a feature similar to the Map module in Lightroom.  I like using a map of my photos as I find it much more useful to find photos I’ve taken in a specific area without having to rely on filtering keywords.  Also, while newer devices  apply GPS to the photos, I have...

Working as a sports photographer, speed and efficiency is key to process and submit photos for your agency and the online world. Here are the steps I need to execute in the quickest, most efficient way possible: Detect memory card, save photos onto disk in the background while applying a metadata preset (keywords, author, copyright,...

Hi, what I’d really like to see is an optional automated approach to apply some prepared presets defined by rules on import Apply presets automatically based on keywords e.g. wood, sea, party, name of building or name of room (I regularly shoot in ballrooms) Apply presets automatically based on GPS coordinates Apply presets based on...

Keywording is key to success to getting one’s images found. A solid keyword tool would be great. Lightroom’s tool is alright, with some limitations. Capture One’s is an abomination but a very capable example would be Aperture’s. As mentioned in another suggestion for metadata, as keywords are metadata too, data should be saved directly to the...
