About the ON1 Photo RAW Project

The ON1 Photo RAW Project gives you the chance to be a part of what we're developing at ON1. You have a voice in the future of photo editing. Your ideas will help us deliver the best available apps for photography, give us insight into what's most important, and help spark innovation.

You must log in to submit an idea.

Share Your Ideas

Share your ideas for new Photo RAW features. Make sure you write a convincing description. Remember, people won't be able to give an idea a high rating unless they understand the idea completely.

Tell Your Friends

With supporters, your ideas will get higher ratings. In fact, tell everyone you know to support your idea. The more ratings an idea gets, the more likely it will be sent to our product development team.

ON1 Will Review It

After an idea reaches 200 ratings with a 3-star or higher rating, the project team will review the details and begin asking questions. We can't put every good idea into development, but we'll try!

As a Lightroom user the Chromatic Aberration (CA) correction has been quite useful particularly with the number of lenses I use not having profiles for automatice corrections. The LR implementation is one of the reasons I’ve not walked away from the program as this simple interface can make a big improvement in a single click or...

Having the ability so change the path where OnOne Extras (Textures, Borders, Presets) are stored would be a huge help.  Currently these are stored on your hard drive and the more textures you add the more space you are you are using up on your hard drive.  I have Multiple drives in my computer that...

I’ll be happy with easy ability to copy & paste adjustments which, to myself, is the biggest plus with Capture One.

Crop guidelines like LR offers for not only rule of thirds but golden triangles, golden spiral, etc. Also I think (which LR doesn’t have) THE best addition would be guidelines for Rabatment which is POWERFUL but more artists understand than photographers.

I understand that Photo RAW will have no need to import. But it would be valuable if it could collect the metadata stored in a Lightroom Catalog and apply it to images managed by Photo RAW.

No automatic adjustments of any kind. No highlight recovery or shadow boost. A linear curve that is all that is needed with a white point and black point. Really very simple concept, just give me what the RAW file is!

Submitted as multiple requests. —– It would be useful to be able to use plug-ins such as Macphun Tonality Pro and others as it’s with Lightroom. One thing that would be awesome is, if there in an option to write the final result of the photo edited using some plugin inside the DNG file, I...

Until we have a chance to see the Photo RAW beta, we’ll have to guess at specific features. But an important one to me will be a powerful assessment management system. The model in my head is Aperture. Lightroom is fair and Capture One Pro is poor in this area. ON1 has the chance to...

Since I think a lot of us have a number of LR Presets, i think it would be great if these Presets could be integrated in using on1PhotoRaw Develop Module.

My dream would be to use the iPad Pro to edit RAW files stored on a lightning USB drive. The ability to read and write to the lightning USB and edit RAW files would be amazing for traveling photographers! Or to have a wireless hard drive that could be read/write RAW from the iPad!
I use Apple’s Photos app, and ON1 Photo 10 works well with it through the Extensions interface. Not sure if it is, or will be, possible to get RAW files from Photos, but it would be a very useful feature for me it it is. (Yes, I know Photos isn’t the best workflow software, but...

I think many of us have enormous libraries in Lightroom and would still like to use Lightroom for digital asset management. It would be great if the changes we make in Photo Raw can be viewed in Lightroom and vice versa; e.g., if Photo Raw could store its changes in the .xmp files that Lightroom...

Not knowing what is in Raw yet; I do a lot of panoramas and really need this a Raw app.
One feature in Lightroom that has been a savior for me is smart previews and being able to have an offsite color corrector via dropbox’s folder structure. Is this a feature (maybe done a bit differently) in On1 Photo RAW? Thanks! Brant P.S. When I submitted this via the site the writing is in white...

The PSD files that we create are big. A PSD created by Photoshop is much smaller than one created by ON1 Photo. Photoshop compresses the layers and the composite photo to make them smaller. Add file compression!

One of the things that drives me crazy about the current version of ON1 Photo is all the tools are specific to modules. I can crop in Enhance and Resize, but not Portrait or Effects. I can retouch in Enhance and Portrait, but not Effects. I can make local adjustments in Effects, but not in...

Some photographers, especially studio shooters, connect their cameras to their computers while they are shooting. The gives them instant download and preview of the photos as they take them. Some apps even let you control some of your cameras settings from them. If you recall we made the first tethered shooting app for the iPhone,...

A built-in camera download or import screen. Many other photo apps have these import dialogs that jump up when you attach a camera or memory card. In talking with photographers these are almost universally loathed. First, they pop-up when you don’t want them to. Second, they are often packed full of confusing options that makes them...
