About the ON1 Photo RAW Project

The ON1 Photo RAW Project gives you the chance to be a part of what we're developing at ON1. You have a voice in the future of photo editing. Your ideas will help us deliver the best available apps for photography, give us insight into what's most important, and help spark innovation.

You must log in to submit an idea.

Share Your Ideas

Share your ideas for new Photo RAW features. Make sure you write a convincing description. Remember, people won't be able to give an idea a high rating unless they understand the idea completely.

Tell Your Friends

With supporters, your ideas will get higher ratings. In fact, tell everyone you know to support your idea. The more ratings an idea gets, the more likely it will be sent to our product development team.

ON1 Will Review It

After an idea reaches 200 ratings with a 3-star or higher rating, the project team will review the details and begin asking questions. We can't put every good idea into development, but we'll try!

I have no intention of giving up LR for Photo RAW, but I might like to use Photo Raw’s Raw processing and export directly to LR. The more integration with LR the nore comfortable I will be with Photo Raw.

I love working with older lenses on my MFT camera. Please add the ability to create a collection of lenses in ON1 Photo Raw. When editing a photo, or a batch of photos, allow the user to choose one of these lenses to update the Exif data, identifying lens, focal length used, f-stop used. Lightroom...
I think it would be a good idea to make ON1 Photo RAW compatible with GIMP format. In this way you will attract a new clients and will enable ON1 users to use some features of the free editor GIMP Regards, Corneliu

ON 1 Photo Raw app integration should also include the current version of Photoshop Elements (i.e., version 15, which is a 64-bit app). Please add it A.S.A.P. to the tech specs !

For me the most important feature would be addition of : – layer groups and – clipping masks similar with Photoshop. I want to create composite pictures with many layers and this is not possible without grouping the layers.

In previous On1 curves control the individual control points could not be deleted. The only option was to reset and start from scratch.

Would like to have a levels tool with Histogram plots for RGB and individual channels to plot the brightness and RGB values of an image to give a better indication of the range and distribution of shadow, mid-tones and highlights, or overall tonal range. In the combined RGB Channel mode would like to use the...
With the Helium and Dragon sensors now able to capture 35 megapixel images in 16-bit color, it would be great to be able to use the ON1 raw workflow for R3D stills.
Allow the Blending Mode to be changed to a common selection for multiple layers. Currently Blending Mode can only changed one layer at a time.

Since nowadays camera comes with video recording capability, most of our camera capture both photos and video clips. It would be best if On1 Photo RAW support video file. The video capability does not need to be sophisticated. At least the editor can browse video files, give rating and play back. In that case, it becomes one...

Okay, so, I am going to see whether I can make the move from Photoshop to ON1 as my primary photo editor, especially with the advent of ON1 Raw. I realize that in PS, I almost always make subtle and judicial use of certain filters on every photo, or portions thereof. For instance, on most...

I would like to be able to adjust the skin area “color and tint etc.” without affecting the adjustments of the non skin area part of the photo in On1 Portrait. Being able to adjust the skin area separately from the background would be great.

I would like the ability to add metadata such as keywords to a folder, therefore adding the metadata to all images contained in that folder. A great start to adding common keywords to all the images in a project or event folder.

Colorchecker Passports are a must for a professional workflow in many areas like product, fashion or wedding photography. Current tools (e. g. lightroom add in) are horrible to use, because the creation of profiles takes many clicks and even includes closing and reopen lightroom in between. Why not combining the white balance selector with the profile?...
Sometimes there a little something I would like to add or change in a photo.  It would be terrific if I could using just the cloning tool and a simple copy and paste mechanism, transfer from the clone/object from one photo layer to another.
An option to show focus peaking would be useful. Lightroom already has the equivalent of Zebras (under and over exposure warnings) which I assume Photo RAW will have, but no “sharp focus” signal.
Please add more choices of filters and presets. I’ve been using On1 for years now and the ones that come standard are still great, but they’ve lost the shine. Many of my photos have begun to look like variations of the same theme. A bit tired and uninspiring. A few years ago you also had...

I love standards. My entire Lightroom library is in DNG. I see no reason to keep my images in the vendors original RAW format.  I want to Photo RAW to convert any RAW files from camera to DNG.
Please forgive me if this idea has already been submitted or already exists (could not find in documents). I would like to see the ability to grab and move the order of the processing modules. By example it is most frequently recommended that noise reduction be applied BEFORE sharping. This minimizes any potential increase in...

Would like to have skew and de-skew capability to adjust converging verticals to parallel. Photo-10 already has the very useful horizontal-leveling adjustment as a Cropping option. This simply rotates the whole photo without changing its proportions. In addition, the ability, for example, to increase top width while decreasing bottom width is essential for some photos....
I brought up a subject in one of the forums when I was was a Plus member about having the ability to do “relative adjsutments” to some image adjustments like Exposure, Contrast, etc. prior to applying presets to the image which may in fact ALSO adjust some of the same sliders. Starting with a “properly”...

Photoshop and many programs can store selections as channels which can be used as masks including “luminosity masks”.  These masks in Photoshop are based on tones within the image and are 16-bit masks.  They are so advanced that you can literally create virtually “perfect” selections of ANY subject in your image, either by tone and/or...

My most used tool on Lightoom CC is the invertable radial filter. I know this can be done on Photoshop, but it is much more laborious. Can we please have it ASAP? Otherwise I will be doing a lot of my work in Lightroom CC.

For my workflow and taste I found a custom setting for the perfect brush and I’d like to save it as my standard brush instead to have to change it every image, it would save me a lot of time and tedious work.

Please add Google Photos to the cloud storage options.  The current option, Google Drive, is not optimized to handle images, while Google Photos is a native application for images, with full search capabilities and automatic upload via Google Uploader. It would be nice if this option were also added to Photo 10.
