Printing Brightness

I must admit to doing very little printing in ON1 but what I have done suffers from the same effect that earlier Lightroom programmes suffered from, i.e., print darker that screen image.

Adobe inserted brightness and contrast sliders in the Colour Management Module in Printing which was a life saver for me.

This could be a big help!

For the time being you could solve this by creating a Preset in the Effects module which levels the differences you see between screen images and printed ones. You could call it ‘Print’, for instance. Then before you print an image you’d have to remember to insert that ‘Print’-preset on top of the effects stack.

It’s what I’ve been doing in several photo editing programs that gave the same issue.

That sounds an excellent idea Paul which I will certainly try. Thanks.

I had the same problem and this ‘preset’ may add an extra step but works after a few test runs. Maybe some day it will be included in the export procedure.

This is a must-have for all who are strongly considering leaving Lightroom!

I have done a lot of printing through LR. When I decided to switch from LR to ON1, I gave up on ON1’s Print Module partly because it did not provide this setting. I am now using Qimage for my printing and I am very anxious to switch to ON1. If Brightness and Contrast sliders were added to the ON1 print module, I would stop using Qimage and switch to ON1 for my printing.
