ON1 Photo RAW for iPad

I’m so so sad that I can’t use ON1 Raw on my iPad Pro when I’m mobile. I’m useing Affinity and would rather use what I consider the most awesome photo editing program to date, ON1 RAW. Throw us a bone please, those of us who use an iPad for mobility.

I would also like the feature added as i still take a laptop but also my ipad pro as it it easier to edit on the go the laptop is for backingup purposes so would be a great feature to add

My iPad has become such an integral part of my workflow. At minimum something like LR that I can import into on the iPad and then have it automaticly sync with the desk top. I can handle “limited” functionality. Cropping, contrast, white balance, higlight and shadows, things like that. But it has to be compley integrated.

Agree with Craig Button. Need to have at least limited editing capability on iPad and ability to synch with the desktop. There are just too many times recently where I don’t/can’t/won’t have my laptop with me. But, I need the ability to keep images moving.

I agree! the industry is moving toward tablet workflow and it would be nice to have the ability to use this software across platforms.

I’d love to see an iPad app since I like to be able to get out from behind the computer sometimes.

I’d want to be able to work on the same set of photos on my desktop as well as on the iPad. I’m not sure if iCloud Drive could be used for this or if some other syncing method would be necessary.

I use a lot my iPad Pro when I’m traveling and daily on my way to work and back home. I don’t own a Mac Book, I wanna travel light and have the new ON1 Photo RAW 2018 mobile app with me which is able to syncs like LR. That would complete my life :) PS: I just got your 2018 upgrade for my MAC. You guys are awesome and you got another satisfied customer here.

I agree! It would be good to have the On1 Photo Raw on iPad. I like to travel as light as possible so I can carrying the sensitive equipment as hand luggage when I am going abroad.

Affinity, which is now my main editing tool is awesome on an iPad. Come on On1 make your package complete and release an iPad version which I can use on my iPad Pro whilst I am travelling or working in the field!!

You should make your mobile app also for Android as there must be a market considering how many Android phones are in service.

I agree, I have really gotten use to using lightroom mobile on the road. It would be fantastic if On1 could incorporate a mobile app that would allow editing.

This is stopping my complete move from LR, where editing in ipad pro works extrememly well.

Come on guys mobile editing isn’t the future is an immediate need. Like others state, this is also stopping me leaving Adobe behind. It must be on your roadmap ?

I now travel exclusively with my iPad Pro and a Western Digital Passport Wireless Pro. I currently use a mix of Affinity Photo, SnapSeed and FileBrowser Pro. An ON1 RAW Mobile app could replace and improve on that mix, but would only get my attention if it allowed storage on a wireless drive and not only the Cloud. I often travel to places where internet bandwidth is not sufficient to deal with RAW file uploads and downloads.

I have a MacBook Pro but enjoy leaving it at home and using the iPad Pro. That leaves On1 out of the picture until I get home and begin the cumbersome transfer of files. Lightroom CC says it does not work with plugins except photoshopped and paid for Plus only to realize the issues. It seems your idea of the “future”is my idea of the present. It seems time for ON1 to discuss this publicly.

I have friends that are using Lightroom CC 2018 that would like to make the jump to On1 but the feature that Lightroom offers for ipad/iphone is too valuable to their workflow to make a move to On1. They would come over as many others would if On1 had a feature for the ipad/iphone app to do basic edits and sync back with Desktop.

I know longer use a laptop, just my iMac and ipad Pro…we really need this feature and On1 would benefit as well with a Huge New Customer Base!

Please update us with potential plans.

I would love to work solely on my iPad Pro, and ditch Lightroom CC. I’m on the road touring a lot. It’s cumbersome to have to lug around a laptop + accessories as well as my iPad. It would rock my workflow so much if I didn’t have to use multiple devices and apps.

Hi, I decided to go with ON1 over LR but I now have an iPad pro.
Is there a reason ON1 won’t support IOS?

Any advice on workaround or hack?
    Any recommended apps?

    Thanks, Daryl

Yes. Please give us a functioning, for traveling on the road, ios app (ipad) that lets us cull photos and do basic edits. Then, have them be fully synced with our desktops back home for more elaborate edits, filters, layers. (sync with a cloud service such as dropbox perhaps?)!

Would like to see a iPad Pro version. Would like to use it for selecting and basic editing during back-pack trip and finalize the job at home at my MBP or MacMini.

In addition to my post just above:

I’m also desperately in need for a iOS version of ON1 to use on my travel trips. On my back-pack trips, next to my Nikon D500, I only have a iPad 11″ Pro with me. On RV trips I can take my MBP with me next to my iPad Pro 11″ but using my iPad Pro 11″ is more relaxed and is more efficient because you can grap it more easily and stop wen directly if needed without the hassle of locking up my MBP.

My perfect workflow would be import photo’s during my trip on to the iPad Pro 11″om ON1 for iPad (for BU also on my Lacie DJI Copilot), do selections and basic editing during the trip in ON1, auto sync by using iCloud (have a 2TB account) and final selecting and editing on my MacMini in ON1 at home. The final serie can then either be exported to Apple Photo for showing on several iOS devices (including AppleTV and an 2 old iPad’s which have the function of permanent photo frame) or be exported to a print a photo book.

+1 from me. I would use on1 exclusively if there was a full iPad version. I rarely take a laptop on the road anymore and I’m increasingly iPad/iPhone only for most things. I’m stuck with Lightroom because of this, but I don’t really like it. It’s just the only real choice for an iPad workflow right now.

With iPadOS now iPad Pro will become my main device while traveling and in the field as we can finally use external hard drives
LightRoom is great for processing RAW but still not fully functional product as ON1. However as soon as Photoshop will be available this year on iPAD and I will not hear any commitment from ON1 I have no chance but switch back to Adobe as I will not have choice. And I am sure I will not be the only one!

With iPadOS 13 coming out more people will be moving to the iPad Pro for their work and ON1 Photo needs move in this direction to gain market share. I am very happy this is the direction the development team is taking. I have completely moved from LR/PS to ON1 for all my image processing and ON1 Photo on my iPad would be excellent. Thanks for working on this project!!

I agree also. Time to have ON1 on the iPad. Hopefully comparable to LR version. With IPad IOS coming we will be able to access SD cards etc with the iPad.

Is there any projected time frame for what you are working on so we could have an idea. 2019? 1-3 yrs?

I just about pulled the trigger to dump Adobe and go full ON1, but then the iPad Pro came out. Holy cow! I LOVE editing photos on my tablet. Now I’m back into the Adobe Lightroom ecosystem again and haven’t bought the latest version of ON1 in over a year. That being said, I still REALLY want to dump Adobe, but there simply is no equal to Lightroom mobile and I think if you ported over ON1 Photo Raw to iPadOS, you could garner some good marketshare. I know you guys are a small outfit, but I do hope you get around to an iPad version. Hopefully Apple’s Project Catalyst can help in developing software for both macOS and iPadOS.
