Keyword Database

It would be nice to be able to edit the keyword database to remove unwanted keywords and inadvertent typo’s!

Absolutely! I’d also like to see a way to establish user created categories of keywords and, with the click of a button a way to see those categories and the keywords within the categories. For instance, Architecture would be a category, as well as a keyword. However, other keywords could be organized within the Architecture category, such as window, door, brick or whatever the user wishes.

I just sent in a question about this. I did a LR import and noted I have many duplicate or near duplicate keywords…and there’s no way to get rid of them?

noticed this also –am now terrified of using keywords because of typos or other reasons for redundant ones which can’t be deleted. Come on, this is just careless and spoils what’s generally a pretty decent DAM and easy to use feature set!

Yes, please. Particularly important for those of us moving from other programs, such as Lightroom.

Yes, please x1000! Solid DAM functionality is what I need to fully cut the LR cord.

It would also be nice to see how many photos are tagged with a certain keyword to more easily delete the ones that appear in 0 photos.

keyword functions definitely need a lot of work, missing many of the functions LR allow you to do. if noting else at least delete keywords from list that are not assigned to any photos

Heartily concure with the others as l am a convert from lightroom and keywords are my main way to find photos. Spelling errors and typos are adding up and makes it impossible to easily locate images.

yes. This is a must. I have several keywords with typos that I cannot get rid of, because I cannot edit the key word database. This is getting out of hand and I wish a keyword management solution will be implemented soon.

Great!!! Like someone else said my spelling errors and duplicate and unwanted keywords have got me in a mess. Being able to edit they keywords would be fantastic and being able to import from LightRoom Fantastic.

This should be a no-brainer……I’ve also got several I don’t need and that are “spelt” wrong! ;)

I would love this feature! I’m keywording family photos and soon into the process decided on a different approach. I have many I would like to delete or correct misspelled names.

To separate clutter from discovered keywords other people have used to what keywords I use:

Automatically imported keywords/keyword hierarchies could be separated from those that have been added (and thus accepted) to a user maintained keyword tree. Keywords could also be dragged onto another to make then synonyms.

Could be done in different ways either or both in the keyword selection list or the keyword editor (if there’s going to be a separate one; thinking of what Firefox has to manage bookmarks).
