Crop Tool Default

Create a user settable “default” for the crop tool. I very seldom use free form crop but have to change from that to desired crop in every crop instance.

I had the same issue but learned that by holding down the shift key as I resized the crop window, the aspect ratio was maintained.

Just downloaded On1 2019, I still cannot do a group crop in edit. My photo output is always 16 X 9 and I have to crop all of my photos. LR allows this to be done in a simple step. If there is a way in 2019 to accomplish this, I don’t see it. In addition I usually export my photos from RAW to JPEG once I have completed my post editing. I noticed that the Lens Profiles are not sent with the META data to the JPEG photos. Is this done for all RAW to JPEG conversions?

Yes. Would be great! Many times I want my photo’s 9:4 or 9:3

At the very least I would like to click on the screen and start copping (without touching corners)

I imagine a pro printing on their own or top end remote printers will be OK with freeform cropping as default but I think the majority of users would instead prefer a fixed format. I suggest that this option be “sticky” i.e. the system remembers the last chosen crop ratio and defaults to that instead of freeform. Or make it an option under preferences which achieves exactly the same thing and will please everyone.

Agreed, what would be nice was to have the tool to remember your last choice on the previous photo, this way people could start by choosing the crop they prefer to start working on and then the app would remember it until you close the app, this would allow more freedom to everyone to choose what they need instead of having always a persistent one that most of the times would not suit everyone.

There’s another suggestion to include paper sizes as default. Would really like to see that.

Agree with this one !! And would like to “extent” it to all tools and setting, would be VERY nice to have them “remembered” at launch.

Can we also have the sane double-headed arrow tool that every other program uses for moving the crop boundaries?
With th current tool it’s not obvious that you have got hold of the adjustment handles.
