This month marks the 20th Anniversary of ON1, and at the heart of our 20th Anniversary celebration is the ON1 Through the Years Photo Contest — a month-long showcase of creativity, memory, and growth.
What’s It All About?
We’re inviting photographers of all skill levels from around the world to submit a photo that was taken in any year and edited using ON1 software — Photo RAW, Resize, Effects, Portrait AI, you name it.
This is your chance to not only show off your best work but to share the story behind it. Where were you when you captured it? What did it mean to you then — and now?
Whether it’s a film scan from 2005 or a digital masterpiece from last month, if it was edited with ON1 and has a great backstory, we want to see it.

I liked the way the rules were clearly stated as far as compositing. I had a great farm photo with a wind pump that was backlit and just for laughs i replaced the sky and used a night sky 2. I also changed the white balance to mimic darkness. My reading of the rules it would have been inelligible. The selection of the sky was flawed and I could not get it select the tree branches and there were white clouds right on the horizon that I could not select. It was in the end not worthy of sharing but it was an eye opener that just 2 changes made such a difference.
