ON1 Photo RAW 2017.0.1 Update

We would like to thank all of our users who have helped us shape ON1 Photo RAW. Thank you for your feedback and patience. We are happy to say we have some updates (one today and one coming soon). Both of these free updates will vastly improve your experience and are just the beginning of the improvements and free updates coming in 2017. The first update, ON1 Photo RAW 2017.0.1 is available today. This is the first maintenance release for ON1 Photo RAW 2017 and you can download the update here.

This is a limited update, focused on the most important stability issues. It is recommended for all users and includes the following fixes:

  • Fixed a crash with retouching tools on a cropped photo
  • Fixed an artifact pattern on portrait oriented photos on Windows when using the Perfect Eraser
  • Fixed an issue with file management with photos with sidecar files that would lead to errors and incorrect counts
  • Fixed a crash in Effects with the Adjustment filter
  • Fixed crash when using the scroll-wheel
  • Fixed a crash on legacy Macs with older video cards
  • Fixed a crash on quit after moving RAW from one monitor to another on Macs
  • Fixed an error 1026 when opening a PNG with editing settings into Layers
  • Improved support for opening moderate-sized photos on older Macs with older video cards
  • Other stability improvements

A substantial update to fix a broader range of reported bugs and improvements to performance and stability will be available in early February. Here is a small sampling of the improvements coming in the February release:

  • Automatic lens correction for mirrorless cameras (non-mirrorless camera lens correction coming later in a free update)
  • Support for lossless compressed Fujifilm Raw files
  • Improved quality of Fujifilm X-Trans files
  • Improved Highlight and shadow processing
  • Additional new camera support
  • Fixing several issues with retouching coordinates and exporting
  • Changing the way brushing works to better support Intel video cards
  • Fixing issues with NVIDIA Radeon video cards on Windows
  • Fixing issues with Photoshop Plug-ins not appearing or launching correctly for some users
  • Fixing issues with importing presets and preset packs
  • Additional stability and performance enhancements

Once again, thanks for using ON1 Photo RAW. 2017 is already shaping up to be a great year!
