Before you give us ALL that masking info, please make it be known that if you have a solid background (as is shown in most of the sample images in the above video) masking is much easier. You make it seem so easy in much of these promo videos, and in some cases it is, but in a lot of cases it isn’t as easy as you would have us believe. I use your product, and it does what I need it to do, masking is a useful tool that needs to be explained in such a way as not to make users think it’s a miracle tool that will solve all of your editing woes.

    …..end of rant…..

No! It works on many different file types like JPEG, TIF, PSD, PSB, PNG, and DNG files.

One of ON1’s greatest strengths is their commitment to helping us learn how to be better at editing our photos. It is especially helpful to be able to download the training videos and practice files so we have them available off-line for reviewing locally rather than exceeding our limited data plan’s ceiling. Hopefully, your course will be downloadable, too; it will be excellent, I’m sure.

I’m super excited for this new Kit! I’m relatively new to ON1 Photo RAW and masking seems to be one of my challenges. The new AI masking tools are awesome, and cut out (pardon that pun – even I didn’t see that coming until I typed it) a lot of time, but it’s not always perfect, and I’m not good at refining those masks yet. I can’t wait!!!

I also need help in the refinement part of masking. Also, I still use Photoshop a lot and hope the course will cover using the ON1 Plug-ins and exporting the image back to Photoshop.
    Looking forward to the course.

Will you cover “precise masking”, for example masking perfectly a bird full of feathers for a print 40×60 inches with a totally black background created with the Curve tool? AI masking always needs a lot of precise editing. WIth the traditional use the magic brush, I probably end up with a filled-up .on1 sidecar file and PR becomes erratic and extremely slow. I then have to export the photo in TIF, and then continue the precise masking on the exported TIF. I may provide example files if needed.

The new improved version of PR2023 released today seems to solve in part the problem I had… I’ll have to make some tests.

The masking tools in ON1 Photo RAW are as good or better than anything else available today when you combine them together. Hopefully, you got the latest update that also improved the AI masking tools.

Question to the On1Plus-Team: Will there be a special price for Plus-members – and will the parts of the kit be available for purchase seperate, since there es a individual pricing for video corurse, preests etc.. Thx in advance
