About the ON1 Photo RAW Project

The ON1 Photo RAW Project gives you the chance to be a part of what we're developing at ON1. You have a voice in the future of photo editing. Your ideas will help us deliver the best available apps for photography, give us insight into what's most important, and help spark innovation.

You must log in to submit an idea.

Share Your Ideas

Share your ideas for new Photo RAW features. Make sure you write a convincing description. Remember, people won't be able to give an idea a high rating unless they understand the idea completely.

Tell Your Friends

With supporters, your ideas will get higher ratings. In fact, tell everyone you know to support your idea. The more ratings an idea gets, the more likely it will be sent to our product development team.

ON1 Will Review It

After an idea reaches 200 ratings with a 3-star or higher rating, the project team will review the details and begin asking questions. We can't put every good idea into development, but we'll try!

Would it be possible to integrate Filter Forge into ON1? This would help me greatly.  I currently have to create the layered file and save it,  then bring into ON1. I figure since you already have layers functionality this shouldn’t be too difficult, I don’t know.  I’ve tried just sending the original file to Filter...

I would like an Irista Plug-in so I can publish images to the Irista cloud, as does Lightroom.

HDR

I would like to export images directly from LR into the HDR module in ON1.  It is a waste of time to have to got to browse and pull the images into ON1.   I have not found a way to export the images directly back to LR if take the image from the HDR module...

Web galleries with ability to use 3rd party plugins. e.g. “Responsive Base Gallery” http://plugins.redrex.co.uk/product/responsive-base-gallery It has been a part of my workflo far a long time. I don’t think I can migrate from Lightroom to On1 Photo Raw without web galleries and 3rd party plugins.

I would like to suggest that ON1 RAW provide the ability to have OEM software do the RAW conversion, for selected RAW files. “Open with…” menu command to have ON1 to pass a selected RAW file to say Nikon’s ViewNX-i / Capture NX-D, in the case of NEFs or say RAW File Converter EX2 (powered...

I currently own On 1 Photo 10 which I use as a plugin to Aperture 3. I use On 1 to edit 95% of my photos. It is my ‘Go To’ program. I save the adjusted image back to Aperture.  I think On1 is fantastic. I would like to upgrade to On 1 Photo 2017....

I use Canon’s ‘PRINT STUDIO PRO’, which I have as a plug-in to Photoshop Elements 12. Could this be made as plug-in directly in ON1 ?

I would really like to be able to just use Photo Raw as my main post processing software but I also use and like the Topaz plugins. It would be awesome to be able to go directly from Photo Raw into the Topaz plugins. Some of the plugins can be accesses through Topaz photo FX...

In the previous On1 version we were able to take multiple images to On1 from LR, process them sequentially, click apply and all would return to LR. With On1 RAW, it’s “one at a time”….entering and exiting On1 RAW as a plug-in with every single image. Please give us back the workflow with LR roundtrip...

When using ON1 PR as a standalone, it would be nice using plug-ins like Nik Collection via layers, so every editing is stored in 1 file. With masks the edit can be selective addapted.

Adapt Imagemagick (and it’s marvelous mogrify command) to add comprehensive control of the export process including multiple borders and frames (fixed or variable size depending on image size – can be set to a percentage of width or length), drop shadows, and extensive watermarking (both textual and graphical). It does a lot more, too. See...

I am finding it laborious going one photo at a time from Lightroom to ON1 Raw, particularly Effects to enhance a good percentage of photos from my catalogue previously not done so. I am really liking the emprovments but will take me for ever. There has to be a quicker way. Also find this and...

I often want to edit several photos using the ON1 plugin on photoshop.  It is a real time waster that each time I complete the editing of an image and ‘save’ the ON1 plugin closes.  Then when I go to edit the next image the ON1 plugin has to open the ON1 programme again. Can’t the...

Capture One round tripping to ON1 Photo RAW in the same way as with Lightroom would allow equal opportunity for those of us with huge existing Capture One libraries to make full use of ON1 Photo RAW’s excellent styling features. Capture One’s ‘Edit with’ option takes me to ON1 but after working on the image...

Using Pixieset for client proofing, when a client makes a selection of images, 100 for instance, Pixieset with allow you to copy the filenames like so: file1,file2,file3,file4 etc You can then copy that text and paste into lightroom and then only that selection of images would show. This feature would be amazing to have as...

I use Photomatix with Lightroom a lot for my HDR and it would be great if I could also use it with On1 Raw . I don’t want to have to use two engines for my Raw processing . I have simplified life by buying an XPro-2 and an XT2. These have made photography fun...

I think it would be a good idea to make ON1 Photo RAW compatible with GIMP format. In this way you will attract a new clients and will enable ON1 users to use some features of the free editor GIMP Regards, Corneliu

ON 1 Photo Raw app integration should also include the current version of Photoshop Elements (i.e., version 15, which is a 64-bit app). Please add it A.S.A.P. to the tech specs !

Incorporate the Nikon NEF SDK into ON1 RAW, to further improve (for Nikon shooters) image quality. It’s free from Nikon. Phase One use the Nikon NEF (and tethering) SDK in Capture One Pro.

My current raw converter is DxO and all adjustments are saved in a “.dop” sidecar files. My interest is for On1 Raw to be able translate those sidecar files and display the already adjusted raw file. With lots of existing DxO adjusted files it would be nice not to have to re-do all of that work.

The amazing Wavelet sharpening plugin in Aftershot Pro (it’s not even part of the standard ASP toolkit but a 3rd party add on) is like fractal resizing is to bicubic resizing, it’s just so so much better than other sharpening methods. I’d love to see it implemented.

Since “Affinity Photo” is a lot like photoshop (with a much better price and as a normal standalone sw) but does not have a browse function it would be great if it could communicate with Photo Raw.

I understand that ON1 Photo 10 has some level of support for the piccure+ plug-in. It would be great if the ON1 Photo Raw could support piccure+ as a layer. In other words, I would add a layer to my raw project and select the piccure+ as an applied adjustment.

It would be helpful to be able to call an external editor from inside your new editor. This would add functionality by allowing for 2 types of functionality. First, it would allow the user to call function specific desktop apps like Houdah to update exif information or perform other editor specific functions and, second, it...

It would be great if On1 RAW had the ability to handle softproofing — importing and applying color profiles for cameras, displays, and printers so that the color you see is the color you get on paper in your final prints. It’s a feature in Lightroom, Photoshop, and After Shot Pro, so hopefully it can...
