About the ON1 Photo RAW Project

The ON1 Photo RAW Project gives you the chance to be a part of what we're developing at ON1. You have a voice in the future of photo editing. Your ideas will help us deliver the best available apps for photography, give us insight into what's most important, and help spark innovation.

You must log in to submit an idea.

Share Your Ideas

Share your ideas for new Photo RAW features. Make sure you write a convincing description. Remember, people won't be able to give an idea a high rating unless they understand the idea completely.

Tell Your Friends

With supporters, your ideas will get higher ratings. In fact, tell everyone you know to support your idea. The more ratings an idea gets, the more likely it will be sent to our product development team.

ON1 Will Review It

After an idea reaches 200 ratings with a 3-star or higher rating, the project team will review the details and begin asking questions. We can't put every good idea into development, but we'll try!

I know this is a far out request and yes I can move files from On 1 RAW to Photoshop if I want to edit in LAB space, but it would be great if in some future time you could add that support directly in One1 RAW, as it is such a powerful workspace to...

In the browser, I would like to see a thumbnail of ALL of my images. Now, any images with layers are displayed as blank white boxes. I want to be able to use browse to replace bridge. I absolutely will not use Lightroom because of the hassle with importing and converting and cataloging.

It would be useful to be able to import/view Olympus .ORF (Raw) files.
I own a Canon EOS M5 since 2 weeks. Besides an EOS 5D Mark II and a EOS 7D I am using the new camara for event-shooting. While Adobe supports the M5 within Lightroom the exposures appear in ON1 Photo RAW with a pink shadow in the browser. There is no way to edit the...

As a Fuji X-T2 & iMac user, and to speed development along, how about considering developing an option to switch to support Apple Core image Raw use, very akin to Affinity Photo. That software has the ability to utilise the camera Raw profiles already installed within the Mac software. A great idea if you ask...

For many of my photo shoots I need to keep production notes, model releases, etc.  I file these in the folders with the relevant sets of photos.  But Photo Raw, Lightroom and other photo browsers hide these files, so I have to go outside my photo apps and use the Finder to dig through the...

Lots of us layer vectors with rasters. It’d be awesome if I could handle that type of work within Photo Raw. AI, EPS, CDR.
Given that On1 Photo Raw has a 32-bit color space workflow, it would be great if I could load HDR formats from other HDR merging tools. Two formats that I’d like support for are OpenEXR and Radiance HDR. This would allow me to merge images using another tool and then import into On1 Photo Raw...

Add support for the OpenEXR HDR format. This would make it easier to leverage multiple HDR tools with On1 Photo Raw.

I use Photomechanics as an extremely fast “ingest engine” and browser. When I ingest photos from my CD cards, I rename photos. Then I browse them, delete some, tag a few and give ratings to the best ones. I need to keep PM colors codes, stars, and “checks” (maybe called ticks?). I need to easily...

I work with some photos in Grayscale. Please expand the Color Profiles of ON1 Photo Raw to handle more color profiles including grayscale.

I enjoy IR photography. Currently I have to import into Nikon NX2, as a tiff, then have to move over to PS, then to LR.  It would be awesome if in On1 RAW, you could PP IR files in one spot.

I note from todays emails (19 November 2016) that Photo Raw Beta won’t include camera profiles and that these may arrive soon after Christmas. On a Micro 4/3rds Camera, such as Olympus or Panasonic the raw file is processesed in camera, so as to correct all of the lens and camera defects.  The corrections are...

I see you are working on supporting Fuji RAF files, can you please include the ability to open compressed RAF images.
With the Helium and Dragon sensors now able to capture 35 megapixel images in 16-bit color, it would be great to be able to use the ON1 raw workflow for R3D stills.

Now when even Macs (at least iMac 5K) supports 30-bit colors and there are no 30-bit color support from Lightroom, OpticsPro or Capture One, this feature would surely stand out.
I am doing GigaPixel panoramas, using Kolor Autopano Giga. The problem is, that ON1 currently does not support larger files for post processing those files. Lightroom supports at least a resolution of 30’000 x 30’000 pixels and Photoshop up to 300’000 x 300’000. It would be great, if ON1 Photo RAW would support larger files...
When a bracketing is made a lovely Adobe PS feature is 1) to produce a single 32 bit image. I think that anyone that had worked with such an image would know its merits. By swift masking with a brush one can achieve a custom desirable final HDR image from such a lovely source as...
It would be nice to be able to adjust photos in L*a*b* color space, particularly digital IR.

ON1 Browse appears to not support DNG format unless you mean that is hidden in ‘Raw from over 250 cameras’. – If not, please add support for (layered) DNG file format in ON1 RAW – In browser ‘convert to dng’ action feature, after conversion open automatically in ON1 Raw o Conversion with the usual, preview...

For false-color infrared, the ability to swap color channels is vary important.  This is often quite cumbersome and tedious using other packages.  The math here is easy but the feature is rarely included because it’s unnecessary for normal color work.  IF ON1 RAW would add the ability to change the swap channel order in the...

I’m using DNG files and let lightroom write sidecar information. Unfortunately lightroom writes this information into the DNG-files. It would be great, if on1 photo raw could use, handle and update this information within the DNG-files.

I know, it’s a gimmick. However, it works. Olympus includes a colour balance and text enhance in their default JPG processing in-camera. It isn’t possible to steal their algorithms, but ON should offer a variety of them, especially the colour balance. I’ve tested it and the GIMP auto white balance is often the closest (although...

this is a feature that i use from time to time, and i would love for ON1 to include a streamlined way to create a 32-bit “super RAW” file out of 3 or more RAW files, that would then be editable via a “develop” module. I currently use adobe bridge + Photoshop to combine files with...

Would like the ability to apply the different Fujifilm  simulations.  This would be a great starting point for the Fuji Raw files. It would also give you the ability to see the effects of the different simulations.
I would love to have the option to use L*A*B curves when editing images.

handle Fuji x raf files as good as irrident developer. Or at least better than Lightroom
