About the ON1 Photo RAW Project

The ON1 Photo RAW Project gives you the chance to be a part of what we're developing at ON1. You have a voice in the future of photo editing. Your ideas will help us deliver the best available apps for photography, give us insight into what's most important, and help spark innovation.

You must log in to submit an idea.

Share Your Ideas

Share your ideas for new Photo RAW features. Make sure you write a convincing description. Remember, people won't be able to give an idea a high rating unless they understand the idea completely.

Tell Your Friends

With supporters, your ideas will get higher ratings. In fact, tell everyone you know to support your idea. The more ratings an idea gets, the more likely it will be sent to our product development team.

ON1 Will Review It

After an idea reaches 200 ratings with a 3-star or higher rating, the project team will review the details and begin asking questions. We can't put every good idea into development, but we'll try!

Need a way to turn off the “Tool Tips” in 2019.5.1?  Seems unnecessary after a while, and adds to desktop clutter.  The mouse-over activation is good, but I was looking for a setting that would toggle the entire set “on” and “off”.
Have the ability to Target an album to quickly add photos to the selected Album with a shortcut key. For example if I have an album called Zoo, have the ability to make that a Targeted Album where photos can quickly be added to it by using a shortcut key. Right now when I want...
First, I have to expand the filters pane and click on the little circle to activate it. I then have to expand Advanced, select Keyword and type the required keyword while not forgetting to click on Search Cataloged Folders. Phew! Just entering the keyword in Search searches everything containing what you typed, so typing sport...

The Metadata Info being just on the tab takes up space, and the font is tiny and contrast horrible. To flip through photos really quickly, the overlay info needs to be clearer and over the photo; to compare in a hurry. Aperture and Lightroom both have this.

When browsing the photo catalog in grid view, there are many folders shown which do not contain any photos or have anything to do with photography. Is there any way to remove these photos without “deleting” them? Will the “delete folder” function merely delete the folder from the catalog or will it remove it entirely...

I have two lenses that I use a lot but there are no Lens Profiles for them. It would be great to have them available. They are: The new Canon 85mm f1.4; and Canon 70-200mm f2.8 Mk2 plus 1.4 Extender

When editing, it would be very usefull to have the possibility to switch to the browse without automatically saving the modification done. Even better, when moving from Edit to Browse it should be possible to display a message windows asking if it is ok to save the latest modifications carried out (yes or not) and,...

Be able to stack photos from exposure series like panoramas, HDR, focus staking or simply portraits of one person.
When applying keywords to the pictures, I found frustrating that the “top frame”, where one can see the keyword(s) already applied, is disappearing when scrolling down the list to look for another keyword … One will certainly answer that the keywords already applied to a picture are indicated with a “filled button”, but as I...

When you select [Add Filter] the image dims. I find this very distracting as I would like to see the image to which I will be adding the filter in all it’s glory. Thanks, Gerry.

I find the scroll bar is too narrow. I keep missing when trying to grab the bar to scroll up or down

At present focus stacking in On1 2019 is limited to 14 images. This is useless for really detailed stacking please extend the number of images that can be used
I would like the ability to sync only 1 setting (or more, but not all module as it is now) from any module between all the photos

The Develop, Effects, Portrait, Local menu bar in the right column,  disappears when you scroll up through applied filters etc. How about pinning it to the top so it is always visible. Yes, there are keyboard shortcuts but it shouldn’t be that hard to have the menu always visible.

Currently, in ON1 Photo Raw 2019, keywords that you add to a photo or photos are converted and saved to lower-case. For example, if you add ‘Joe Smith’, it will be saved as ‘joe smith’. This is counter to every other product I’ve used (Lightroom, Bridge, Apple Photos, etc.): they all take what the user...

Having come from Lightroom I really miss the auto levelling, it’s not perfect, but it’s also very good.  I don’t get on the draw a line on a bit that should be level, it’s fiddley, bring this feature in, it would be a godsend.  Also can you add some basic zoom controls to the UI,...

I’m aware that in the current version RAW2019 it is possible to manually remove a keyword by right-clicking. However, it is not currently possible to select more than one at a time. Importing my lightroom catalog into On1 a whole bunch (More than 5000) irrelevant keywords have been added aswell. I even dicsided to remove...

2019 Beta forces keywords to lower case. I want to add keyword Amsterdam (upper case A) so I search for Amsterdam in the master kw list and it is only with a lower case. I would like the ability to use upper case.

I do not get the control of the watermark placement that I would like to see.  It would be much better to have an x/y axis for watermark inset instead of the current system.

At the moment, On1 uses US date formatting. MMDDYYYY. This is unfamiliar in many parts of the world – for example UK uses DDMMYYYY. It would be great if On1 had an option to choose date formatting. Such a simple thing, but it would make it much easier for non-US residents to read dates at...
Personally I never use Exposure at -1 so I always have to change it first thing after adding a local adjustment layer. I’d rather have the layer always blank with not settings…
At present it is always Blues, Aachen, Campari, Timeless and Branagh. I would love to be able to have my 5 favorites displayed instead of having to search through “More” or create a preset.

If you keystone or level your photo you get always lost areas, instead of scaling and moving, or change to crop mode and do a manual crop an autocrop option would be handy

With the power of LUTs being added, I see a proliferation of user downloaded LUTs becoming cumbersome without the ability to create folders, subfolders and easily move LUTs between folders. It would also be nice to have custom LUTs show up in the Quick View Browser tab like custom presets.

There are more than a dozen ideas on how to handle keywords in ON1 RAW.  Is it not obvious that we need a keyword manager. We need easy additions, display, search that is highly integrated into the Browse Module. Intelligent keyword suggestions would be the ultimate options in the manager function.

Hi Guy’s The Problem: I photograph wild Flora and Fauna, including insects and birds. My macro shoots create dozens of images of the same subject at specific locations but not the same date and time so I want to retain multiple images of the subject in an album or folder. I’m finding I’m continually have...

In addition to the Photo Menu and the keyboard commands, it would be nice to have a simple “rotate” control in Browse and Develop modules.  I find visual controls to be more convenient than menu or keyboard commands.  (I have a lot of images from a very early digital camera – Kodak DC4800 – that...

I need ON1 to stack photos the same way Lightroom does. I shoot a lot of HDR (usually 5 exposures) and use the Stacking feature in Lightroom to prep these images for the culling process. It’s just a few steps. Select the photos I want to group. Click on the images I want the app...
