About the ON1 Photo RAW Project

The ON1 Photo RAW Project gives you the chance to be a part of what we're developing at ON1. You have a voice in the future of photo editing. Your ideas will help us deliver the best available apps for photography, give us insight into what's most important, and help spark innovation.

You must log in to submit an idea.

Share Your Ideas

Share your ideas for new Photo RAW features. Make sure you write a convincing description. Remember, people won't be able to give an idea a high rating unless they understand the idea completely.

Tell Your Friends

With supporters, your ideas will get higher ratings. In fact, tell everyone you know to support your idea. The more ratings an idea gets, the more likely it will be sent to our product development team.

ON1 Will Review It

After an idea reaches 200 ratings with a 3-star or higher rating, the project team will review the details and begin asking questions. We can't put every good idea into development, but we'll try!

I am sure that at the moment ON1 is trying to find ways to make PR 2019 work quicker and smarter, plus nailing down those bugs. But, at some point the development team must consider what comes next. It strikes me that the most dynamic part of the photography world, (at least currently), is the...
UK based photo labs like to work in standard sizes.  The problem is I like to crop to unusual formats that don’t fit in the standard sizes.  So the on-line labs automatically crop my photo, so that it fits in their standard size and destroy the composition. Please could On-One include some standard size backgrounds,...

ON1’s strength has always been in the development of clever filters.  Don’t get me wrong, Photo Raw has tremendous potential and is developing well.  But, some new filters would also be appreciated, and may help the Plug in side of your business. How about some filters to help a photo look more like a watercolour,...
The Quick Export function (found under File>Quick Export), is great when I need to quickly rename or to change the format of a file, (i.e. move from Tiff to Jpeg, etc.). It would be better still, if it also allowed us the option to also change the colour space, (i.e. to change from Adobe RGB...

Please could you add the option to ‘View Clipping’ and a proper ‘Histogram’, to take some of the guess work out of processing a HDR in Photo Raw 2018?  i.e.  before exporting the HDR to develop and effects.
I am enjoying using Photo Raw 2018, but as a mouse user, I find the recent UI changes to be rather cumbersom and slow.  Please could you bring back the chevrons, (from Browse Photo Raw 2017), which we used to click on to increase the screen size or to bring up useful menus. The new,...

Please could I have a colour picker tool. That would allow me to pick a colour in an image, then to copy the same colour to a Colour Fill Layer. An example of where this would be useful, could be.. colour picking a sun set, so as to be able to use Layers and a...
I use a range of Lumix micro 4/3rds cameras, and I am very impressed by the recent introduction of camera profiles.  Which work fine my  DMC-GM1, and DMC-G5.  (I have yet to try the DMC-G1). However, my Wife’s DMC-GF3 is not yet supported.   Her lens is supported, but the camera has quite an effect on...

Sometimes I want to mask out an object which is too similar in colour to the background for the perfect brush to work.  So, I mask it manually with the ‘Control Click’  method.  Having surrounded the object with a think line of mask, I then want to fill in a larger area, so it would...

Please can you being back a feature from ON1 Photo 10.5.  So, that when building a composite within Layers, you could see the whole of the composite as you adjusted one layer in Effects.  Which made it much easier to see the way in which things were meshing together.

Dear ON1 I suspect that this is currently a relatively low priority, because the majority of your ‘user base’ do not currently process their photographs on a touch screen computer. However, Microsoft is hoping to change this, by launching ‘The Creator’s Update’ to Windows 10. If it succeeds, and Microsoft manages to reinvigorate the ailing...

The export function makes sense if you are combining the effects of a side car filter and the original file to make somethign completely new. But, please can we also have ‘Save As’, as we did in Photo 10.5? There are times when you want to copy a TIFF or PSD or JPEG.  There are...

It would be really useful to be able to use a short cut key, such as the Alt key to produce a mask that would make it easier to judge the details that will be sharpened in a photo.  The same could be said for noise and detail. I have no doubt that On1 will...

Apologies if this has already been posted, but there are now so many ideas, that it is getting hard to search them. I know that Hudson, Matt and Scott are genuinely premier landscape photographers, and they therefore use the very lowest of any possible of ISOs.  And, when I can use a tripod, I do...

Please could you allow an option in the Export part of Photo Raw to permit the original raw  file name/number to be at the front of the new exported file name, and the date when the camera recorded the file to be after any special text. Yes, I’d like export in Photo Raw to be...

I note from todays emails (19 November 2016) that Photo Raw Beta won’t include camera profiles and that these may arrive soon after Christmas. On a Micro 4/3rds Camera, such as Olympus or Panasonic the raw file is processesed in camera, so as to correct all of the lens and camera defects.  The corrections are...

I really like using the perfect brush, but sometimes when I am masking difficult subjects, I can’t remember which slider adjusts what, and what sort of settings to use.  Sometimes I guess right and sometimes I make a mess of it.. It would be really useful to have a new symbol, (maybe a coloured gear...
