About the ON1 Photo RAW Project

The ON1 Photo RAW Project gives you the chance to be a part of what we're developing at ON1. You have a voice in the future of photo editing. Your ideas will help us deliver the best available apps for photography, give us insight into what's most important, and help spark innovation.

You must log in to submit an idea.

Share Your Ideas

Share your ideas for new Photo RAW features. Make sure you write a convincing description. Remember, people won't be able to give an idea a high rating unless they understand the idea completely.

Tell Your Friends

With supporters, your ideas will get higher ratings. In fact, tell everyone you know to support your idea. The more ratings an idea gets, the more likely it will be sent to our product development team.

ON1 Will Review It

After an idea reaches 200 ratings with a 3-star or higher rating, the project team will review the details and begin asking questions. We can't put every good idea into development, but we'll try!

Please bring back the capability of adding a color fill layer in Photo Raw 2019. I use this feature quite often.
It would be very useful the add a feature to the HDR command where the system starting from a selected image automatically create 3-5 copies of the same image having a different exposure (-/+ 1 EV or have the possibility to set the EV interval) and then merge them to create the HDR effects. The...

Right now, preset groups have to be exported and then reimported to a second computer.  I have 2 iMacs and 2 laptops.  It would be great to be able to keep the presets, extras, textures etc in sync between all my computers.  They are not all in one location and now it is very labour...

Very simple, but handy. As I zoom (Cmd +) I would like to zoom where my mouse is set, not in the center of the image as it works currently.

Current Behavior Go to Browse View. Enable filtering and enter some criteria. For example, only show “liked” photos. Navigate to a different folder. Poof! The filtering criteria you just entered is now cleared. Filtering remains enabled, but the criteria is removed. Proposed Behavior Go to Browse View. Enable filtering and enter some criteria. For example,...

When editing, it would be very usefull to have the possibility to switch to the browse without automatically saving the modification done. Even better, when moving from Edit to Browse it should be possible to display a message windows asking if it is ok to save the latest modifications carried out (yes or not) and,...

Oftentimes I do some work on in multiple layers and then change my mind and wish to discard that work.  In 2018.5 there was an easy option to cancel the work, but not in 2019.1.  Instead all the layers must be deleted in turn or the program saves the work in a large .onphoto file. ...

It would be great to be able to choose default camera profile. At the moment default is always ON1 standard profile.  I want my Camera Standard profile to be my default one. Now every time i edit new picture i have to change fron ON1 profile to my Camera profile. This is very annoying because...
The Chroma subsampling for jpeg exports is 4:2:0 instead of 4:4:4 like most other photo applications.  I would like to see the ability in a future update to export jpegs at full color Chroma Subsampling 4:4:4. Thanks Tony
hello, is it possible to add the gradient map filter ? When we do black and white in photoshop it is nice to stack a black and white layer for colors and gradient map for tones. The new tutorial from Jim shows we can use photofilter b&w but gradient map would be better. gradient map...

I recently discovered that sluggishness problems and crashing of On1 Photo Raw were related to my running my graphics adapter card in 10 bit pixel format for my wide color gamut monitor. I submitted a support request pertaining to this issue, and Stevie informed me that On1 Photo Raw does not support 10 bit pixel...

Please add a 200% zoom button at the bottom of the Navigator pane. This feature will be helpful in case of 4K monitors to directly set a suitable zoom level during the editing process carried out such type of monitor.
It would be very helpfull to have the possibility to detect and properly manage (edit, visualize, save, etc…) 10bit per channel image.

I notice that if you are in layers and decide to discontinue with the work you are doing, you cannot return immediately to Browse. The project you are working on is saved when you don’t want it and this takes time. Whereas in ON1 Raw 2018 there was a save/close button and if you clicked...

Is there no fine control within the curves graph, for example for fine control using the up and down keyboard keys to adjust added curves points? If no, I would suggest controls similar to Photoshop be added to curves.

In my editing I frequently make use of multiple kinds of masks. I use shadow and highlight masks all the time when blending exposures, and I also make use of ‘super-highlights’ and ‘super-shadows’ masks in Photoshop. I also make use of mid-tone masks. It would be great to have a one-click solution for creating these!

It is very often necessary to view details in 200% or 400% but thze Nav tab goes only up to 100%. Please add these two to the tab.

I’ve just seen a facility in Landscape Pro (I think there’s something similar in photoshop) where it’s possible to change the apparent direction of sunlight on the image, with the program automatically adjusting shadow and highlight detail.  The effect looks quite impressive and I would love to have this option within ON1 !   Martyn

Preferences allows you to choose a color space to apply to Raw files – if none has been defined in the image. This is useful. What would be even better if the choice of the color space could be made within the image editing process.

Allow easy dodge & burn process by the use of only one layer and painting over it, avoiding the necessity to use too much brush layers, some of them to add exposure locally and other to reduce exposure locally too.

Much like the latest release of ACR and lightroom, we now have the ability to stitch images into a panorama, and then save and edit that panorama as one DNG file. Would love to see this implemented into Photo Raw.
