About the ON1 Photo RAW Project

The ON1 Photo RAW Project gives you the chance to be a part of what we're developing at ON1. You have a voice in the future of photo editing. Your ideas will help us deliver the best available apps for photography, give us insight into what's most important, and help spark innovation.

You must log in to submit an idea.

Share Your Ideas

Share your ideas for new Photo RAW features. Make sure you write a convincing description. Remember, people won't be able to give an idea a high rating unless they understand the idea completely.

Tell Your Friends

With supporters, your ideas will get higher ratings. In fact, tell everyone you know to support your idea. The more ratings an idea gets, the more likely it will be sent to our product development team.

ON1 Will Review It

After an idea reaches 200 ratings with a 3-star or higher rating, the project team will review the details and begin asking questions. We can't put every good idea into development, but we'll try!

In Photo Raw 2019 the workflow regarding picking a color range in Effects or color range in Local adjustments is that I first have to indicate that I want to pick a color and then click the eye dropper tool to pick the color I want. It would be a faster and more intuitive workflow...

I would like to see the Polarizing Filter as a separate new Filter in the Effects mode. This filter could incorporate the current Polarizing Filter along with some related sliders. As far as I can tell, the Polarizing Filter is now only available as a slider in the Photo Filter panel. To use the Polarizing...
Like the results of cut outs in Photo Raw!  But there are a few user interface items that could be (easily) improved: Paint in/Paint out selection: it would be easier to have setable buttons to click than to ve to click a drop down ox and then select the item. I have only used Photo...
Hi, I have some experience with Paintshop Pro but have been looking for a better answer for masking/cut outs.  So recently, I have looked at several products (yours, Topas ReMask, FluidMask and a few others).  I like the results from Photo RAW best, however there are a few features of the others that I find...
one of the most useful features on other similar programs I have used was called smudge tool.  This allows one to “push” surrounding colors/textures into an adjacent areas.  this proved useful as a cleanup to other remove and fill tools, or took care of very small issues. being new to your tool, I have not...
Please implement a Flow adjustment for the brushes. I understand that opacity is a similar adjustment for a brush but is not the same as Flow. In simple terms the difference is with flow you don’t have to constantly keep clicking on the brush to make it build up  you just keep moving it back-and-forth...
I have been seeing ” inception panoramas”,  where drone photos are taken from ascending levels. these apparently were processed in photoshop, my least favorite option! an automated or simplified means to do this would be a large incentive to a lot of drone owners. perhaps a module within pano ?
The addition of the Portrait mode for adjusting individual faces is a nice feature. Since On1 can find the faces for you, it would be great if we had the tools to do additional work to make the faces individually better by having Tone and Color available per face.   Often times in bad lighting conditions...
Please check if it is possible to create different styles in Focus Stacking programm like averge or mean style. Something like it was realized in PS. Thanks
Allow spot removal to be placed on a layer so it can be managed like other adjustments and be easily modified later.
Is it possible to put level adjustment directly in the histogram such as Lightrool dos it.
Why did you put the Curve into Effects tab and into Add Filter? Curve is not an “effect”. It is an adjustment tool. In the next update, please, can you put the curve tool into the Develop tab. Regards

Waveforms as apposed to histograms? Chris and Jordan made an excellent video regarding waveforms and the ability to use this for photo editing software as apposed to the histogram, and it does make sense. So whats the likelihood of implementing this for On1? Reference video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hAT-mjS2kyc

Hi, The color temperature slider in the White balance does not go below the 2000 degree and this is a problem when working on shot taken under tungsten light. I do never use the camera WB setup and always do my WB in the development software. When developing those shots (even with a 50% grey...

In the color enhancer you can select 8 colors with a possible range. It would be nice if it was possible to pick-up a color in the picture and modify it just as if it was one of the 8 colors.
Noise and especially colour noise is often more prominent in one RGB channel than in other ones. If there would be an option to have these denoising procedures not just for the entire pictures but for each colour channel seperateley, densoising could be done in a much more effective way.
It can be difficult, frustrating and time consuming choosing complementary colors. split tones or any other reason when using the current color picker.  Implementing a color wheel with the current color picker would be an enhanced way of choosing colors and be of great help to those of us who have not had formal art...
I would like to save a LUT from a shot to share it or to use it in a NLE video software

I miss a lot the orange slider in the B&W conversion in Lightroom. It is very powerful, along with the red and the yellow, for portrait in black and white.

Open a photo inside of Photoshop, and go to File> File Info… There’s a tab that reads “Copyright Status.” In this dropdown menu, there are 3 options 1. Unknown 2. Copyrighted 3. Public Domain. When you have “Copyright Status” set to “Copyrighted” it adds a copyright © symbol into your Photoshop document window of that...

I’d like to be able to use the Clone Stamp and Retouch Brush on masks. I was just playing with refining the edge of a mask and noticed the gradient feathering at the edge was mostly consent, but there were areas where touch-ups were needed. Here’s how it could work: Setting the mask to grayscale,...

After watching a video on creating Glow brushes in LR (Blake Rudis) I tried to emulate the same look in ON1. I was easily able to replicate a brush that offered a very similar look using Local Adjustments, but there is no way to save the settings as a preset. NOTE: the goal is to...

Every filter in effects (as far as I’ve seen) has a little orange button to the left of the filter’s title bar which allows me to A-B the effects of that filter by toggling them on and off. The same is true with everything on the Develop tab except “Tone & Color”. I’d like to...

The Keystone tool in Transform doesn’t use the grid even though it is selected.
On1’s masking tools are amazing, especially since v.2019.2 which is much more stable. BUT… Effects : why is the Perfect Brush tool still on the right hand-side? It should be on the left hand-side, along with the brush the gradient and the AI mask. Local Adjustment : much more annoying! The Brush (shortcut: B) become...
hello, it would be nice, like photoshop, to have a overlay mode on black and white brushes to refine the mask and removing grey “clouds”. we can paint black without modifying white areas,… and, why not, dodge and burn brushes with shadows, midtone,… options for same purpose best regards marc

Please add the capability of rotating text in Photo Raw 2019. If the text is on a separate layer by itself, you can rotate that layer, but it would be so much easier just to be able to rotate the text itself.

Please bring back the capability of adding a color fill layer in Photo Raw 2019. I use this feature quite often.
It would be nice to have the ability to create a border effect that resembles bevel (either an inward or outward bevel).  For the present time I need to revert back to an older edition of Photoshop Elements to achieve this effect.  It would be very helpful to be able to achieve this effect from...

I would like to be able to give my own meaningful name to local adjustments. I would like to be able to know what I’ve done there without necessity to play around with them. Same applies to filters – you can use them in unique creative way so why not to give an option to...
