About the ON1 Photo RAW Project

The ON1 Photo RAW Project gives you the chance to be a part of what we're developing at ON1. You have a voice in the future of photo editing. Your ideas will help us deliver the best available apps for photography, give us insight into what's most important, and help spark innovation.

You must log in to submit an idea.

Share Your Ideas

Share your ideas for new Photo RAW features. Make sure you write a convincing description. Remember, people won't be able to give an idea a high rating unless they understand the idea completely.

Tell Your Friends

With supporters, your ideas will get higher ratings. In fact, tell everyone you know to support your idea. The more ratings an idea gets, the more likely it will be sent to our product development team.

ON1 Will Review It

After an idea reaches 200 ratings with a 3-star or higher rating, the project team will review the details and begin asking questions. We can't put every good idea into development, but we'll try!

Currently you can only crop one photo at a time. Selecting multiple photos for the same crop isn’t available.  There is already a sync tab however it isn’t working and I have been told that group cropping isn’t available at this time.  I am looking to use On1 as a stand alone software however without...

hallo, When i look tutorials of Jim and Blake, photoshop gradient map seems a awesome tool for black and white. LUT is a tool we see everywhere now. Can you implement these two tools in ON1 effects ? note : gradient map and zone system integration in ON would provide the best b&w product on...

I would like an option/switch that would allow me to increase the size/view of the pane’s with the sliders/etc in the panels on the left and right side of the screen when I move the cursor over them. They are very difficult for me to see (even with my 27″ iMac screen) and allowing me...

Adobe lightroom has a very intuitive and nice method to correct the horizon line (with a virtual spirit level). ON1 uses the ‘Transform’ method in Overall settings to do this correction. It works, but not smooth and out of the hand.

I understand the place of Curves in the Tone enhancer filter, but: apart from tone, you can influence color and colortemperature with it, and color grade in a good way too it is rather cumbersome to have to scroll down inside the Tone enhancer filter and open the curves tool with the chevron before you...

In Layers, you can use the crop tool and grab the corner when it is showing the rotation circle and you get the grid on screen and can rotate the photo. In Develop and Effects, you only have the ability to crop when you grab the corner handles. I know you can use the slider...

Currently there is a 25 image limit for panoramas. I know that 25 images are a lot, but on some panorama sets I can have 30+ to capture a high detail/resolution panorama. I usually use Kolor Autopano Pro for panoramas and it’s able to stitch 30+ images together. It would be nice if ON1 was...

Photoshop etc has a quick selection tool that allows some damn good cut-outs – this is a main tool that we use here as we do a lot of composits and not all subjects are easy to do with a masking brush – and can take ages compared to doing it in Photoshop with the...

There are times when I have a horizontal image and I would like to crop it to a vertical of the same ratio. Of course the image would be smaller. With the file size of most of my cameras and the ability to resize in your software that would not normally be a problem.  ...

Dehaze works very good but often some areas of a photo could use more. Really strong settings of dehaze can adversely affect some image areas. Specifically the sky can get over-saturated and/or darkened. So a dehaze control in local adjustments and/or a dehaze effect in Effects can allow us to do selective use of this...

A Lightroom method of quickly finding sensor dust spot (enhanced edge detecting) and batch removal is an essential requirement. An automatic “discover and batch removal” would be even better. How I see this working… ON1 analyses multiple images from a shoot and looks for potential dust spots. They should be in the same place on...

We can change previous edits in develop, effects and such. However, any previous Perfect Eraser, Retouch Brush and Clone stamp edits cannot be undone without also resetting all edits. I suggest we have the ability to remove these edits. Maybe a right click context menu on the tool with an offer to remove all edits...

Right now when cropping, it appears that the system uses a rule of thirds markers only.  I’d like to be able to adjust that so i can see thirds, quarters, etc.   In short, I am making panels (tiles) but to keep going back and forth with trial and error to resize, tile is a...

When you use the mouse wheel to zoom in and out, the zoom is centred on the centre of the window no matter where the mouse pointer is positioned. Most other implementations of mouse zoom allow you to zoom in on whatever is under the mouse pointer by centring the zoom around that point and...

Need to have an eyedrop selector for curves like in Lightroom, that way you can target the brightness or darkness within the photo and drag up or down with the mouse in order to brighten or darken a selected area of the photo.

when using a texture in effects ,it is only possible to enlarge the texture. it would be great that it is possible ALSO to scale down, make the texture small AND moveable, so i can deside what part of the texture i can use AND where in the picture to move.

The possibility to edit the caption of a filter or effect at right panel (develop or effects modules) could help to leave notes on what we want to modify or reach using the effect. Having this kind of notes could help when review an edited image or you want to distribute something for teaching, like...

I am still using Lightroom CC and On1 PhotoRaw as a plug-in. In Lightroom, I only use the spot removal and visualize spots tool and then I jump into On1 Develop, Effects, etc. I am doing this for one reason only. The perfect eraser tool is great, but the ability to see and remove dust...

There are only 2 reasons I still use photoshop. ONLY 2. Liquify much easier to use clone and spot healing If you had a version like LIQUIFY and then a system to do more like photoshops CLONE/HEALING I would delete photoshop and never look back. You do EVERYTHING I need as an incorporated tool inside...

For years I have asked and asked FXHOME Photokey to add an extension to allow me to use their tool inside LIGHTROOM. They claimed “No way to do this since we need layers”. HAHAHA. Well ON1 sure showed them. Layers was not at all impossible to do. YOU DID IT. Why not give us (initially)...

Sometimes we want to flip our images vertically or horizontally for composition and aesthetic purpose, right now this feature is available only in Layers. The problem with Layers is it creates large PSD file and the flexibility of RAW is lost.  So, can you add this feature in Browse or Develop.

The current Transform module sorely lacks the ability to scale X and Y differently (this capability does exist in Lightroom). It is very important when performing perspective correction (e.g. straightening architectural elements), as the result will often seem unnaturally “squashed” in one of the dimensions after applying Vertical and/or Horizontal non-zero settings. In Lightroom, when...

When I add a texture I can modify the saturation, brightness and hue shift. One feature that would help to add some textures like clouds and walls more realistically would be to add some kind of blur to the texture, so that it looks like the clouds or walls are out of focus. Also when...
