About the ON1 Photo RAW Project

The ON1 Photo RAW Project gives you the chance to be a part of what we're developing at ON1. You have a voice in the future of photo editing. Your ideas will help us deliver the best available apps for photography, give us insight into what's most important, and help spark innovation.

You must log in to submit an idea.

Share Your Ideas

Share your ideas for new Photo RAW features. Make sure you write a convincing description. Remember, people won't be able to give an idea a high rating unless they understand the idea completely.

Tell Your Friends

With supporters, your ideas will get higher ratings. In fact, tell everyone you know to support your idea. The more ratings an idea gets, the more likely it will be sent to our product development team.

ON1 Will Review It

After an idea reaches 200 ratings with a 3-star or higher rating, the project team will review the details and begin asking questions. We can't put every good idea into development, but we'll try!

With Litghroom, we can create shorcuts as we want …. so we can use MIDI2LR ou PELTMADE or PADDY to pilote the cursors with a MIDI CONTROLLER.   With Capture ONE, we have also the option to create supplementary shorcuts … and with the BOME TRANSLATOR PRO software we can also pilote the software with a...

The one feature I want most for On1 Photo RAW is to have keyboard shortcuts to move between modules – for example, B or Command+B for Browse, D or Command+D for Develop, and so on. Looking for a button and clicking it is excruciatingly slow by comparison.

it would be nice to have the possibility of changing some of the shortcuts that are not available in international keyboards layouts.

On  a Scandinavian keyboard the brackets [ and ] for changing brush size require a two-key combo. So having the scroll wheel for changing brush size is great. To change feather size on the keyboard is a three-key combo. Could we please have, for example, Shift + scroll wheel for changing feather size.

It’s great now we have Loupe and Histogram panes. However, it would suit my workflow better if Histogram was the default view rather than Loupe. Or give us a keystroke to quickly change the selection. I’ve tried ctrl 1 but that just opens/closes the pane.

I don’t see any “Accelerator keys” for invoking Browse/Develop/Effects/Layers/and Resize with out resorting to clicking on the associated icon on the right panel. Am I missing something? It would be nice to use Express keys on my Wacom tablet, but can’t find a way to do it. The On1 Photo Raw’s menu bar File dropdown...

It would be really useful to be able to use a short cut key, such as the Alt key to produce a mask that would make it easier to judge the details that will be sharpened in a photo.  The same could be said for noise and detail. I have no doubt that On1 will...

To the development team: It would be really handy if you were to add a preferences option to set the starting location of the “Open your pictures folder” icon to the left of the browse window. I’m fairly certain many users may have their main photos folder located on a separate data drive and a...

Adding a mac OS like capability for folder alias. This will allow a shortcut through folder hierarchy in browse.  Get me to my high level portfolio folder quickly.

There are keystrokes for all ratings (1-5, colours) but not a keystroke to remove colour label from rating. One has to do this manually. The shortcut of ` isn’t resetting it, either. This is cumbersome.

I use a Wacom Tablet, BUT I’m also at an age where Essential Tremors (shaky hands) are part of life. Whenever I use my pen to adjust a slider, my shakiness makes me move the slider when I lift the pen from the tablet. Wacom doesn’t seem able to deal with this, so what would...

This is a request to have a more extensive set of keyboard shortcuts and to have it documented in the help menu. I see that there are requests for programmable shortcuts. If that is implemented I think it would make sense to see the user settings listed alongside the builtin/default keyboard shortcuts. I find that...

In Lightroom, in the Develop module, the white & black sliders could be used in conjunction with the Alt key to set a point as soon as white or black appears. This would be great feature within the Develop module, Tone and Color, white & black sliders of On1 Photo Raw

There are a few hotkeys that I’ve used in Lightroom that have worked well for me. I would like the ability to reassign the “Like” hotkey to `.

You can press 6 7 8 9 0 to tag a photo with a color, but you need to use the mouse to remove the tag.  Could pressing the number again remove the tag like in other programs?

Aperture allowed you to rate images with 1 – 5 keys, and then to filter on these with Ctrl 2 to filter images 2* and above. Lightroom / Browse don’t have the ability to use a keyboard shortcut to filter images, would be great to have these.  Would be even better if you have the...

It would be great if we could edit our photos without using the mouse. Custom keyboard shortcuts will be awesome. Example: Press “Q” to +0,1 and “W” to -0,1 on exposure, “A” to +10 on contrast and “S” to -10 on contrast…

One of the features in Adobe Capture Raw which I find useful is being able to hold down the option key while using the black and white point sliders (and sharpening masks) so I can visually see how much and exactly where pure black and white are. I think that would be an essential tool...

For example, to resize the brush we can actually use the [] brackets. This makes that we have or to take the right hand from the mouse to activate them or to go with the left hand all over the keyboard. (This brackets are, here in Belgium, on the right side of my keyboard in...

Waiting for all images to export after an edit is time consuming when in a hurry. The ability to export images as ‘you go’ would be amazing. This needs to be done without having to go into an export dialogue each time an image is exported. A shortcut which exports the current image using pre-set...

One challenge for the digital photographer is to keep the number of images at a reasonable amount. Therefor it’s essential to compare, rate and mark similar images of one shooting to keep only the best ones and delete the rest. Lightroom comes with two perfect tools to do this: the Group view (‘N’-shortcut) to reduce...

One thing that really annoys me in lightroom is that you cannot assign keyboard shortcuts to your develop presets or local adjustment brushes. When i work on a serie of images all taken on the same location i sync all base corrections and then go through each image individually to do some brushing like dodging/burning, skin...

ON1 would benefit from a fully remappable keyboard shortcut system, where you could assign key combinations to increase/decrease the individual sliders (or at least the most-used ones, if there would be too many to assign on a regular keyboard). This way you could quickly use two hands, one on the mouse and the other on...

Hi, I often shoot in burst mode to augment the chance to get a sharp images in low shutter speed situations. But then I end up having 10 frames or more, and it’s often difficult to pick the sharpest one. Especially when you end up having 50 different situation, so that’s close to 500 images....
