About the ON1 Photo RAW Project

The ON1 Photo RAW Project gives you the chance to be a part of what we're developing at ON1. You have a voice in the future of photo editing. Your ideas will help us deliver the best available apps for photography, give us insight into what's most important, and help spark innovation.

You must log in to submit an idea.

Share Your Ideas

Share your ideas for new Photo RAW features. Make sure you write a convincing description. Remember, people won't be able to give an idea a high rating unless they understand the idea completely.

Tell Your Friends

With supporters, your ideas will get higher ratings. In fact, tell everyone you know to support your idea. The more ratings an idea gets, the more likely it will be sent to our product development team.

ON1 Will Review It

After an idea reaches 200 ratings with a 3-star or higher rating, the project team will review the details and begin asking questions. We can't put every good idea into development, but we'll try!

ON1 Photo RAW Ideas

It would be nice to be able to navigate to a folder in Browse by typing in a letter as is done in Windows Explorer. It would be so much faster than scrolling down all of the folders.
Keyboard shortcuts for moving up or down through directories in Browse.  For mac it would make sense to use the same browser and finder shortcuts of Command [  and Command ] to navigate. It’s a bit crazy to have to use a mouse on the breadcrumbs or column view just to move back up to...

Hello. Sometimes I occasionally use another application to do some more creative editing. The ON1 “send to other application” feature is great and works well, but as far as I can see can only be accessed from the Browse module. I would like it to to be available from the Edit module too, to save...

Hi. It would be very useful to import photos from an SD card, for example, by having an “import …” command available in a popup that appears by clicking the right mouse button on a specific folder. Right now, in this popup appears an “export …” command. The idea is to incorporate a new command...

It would be so nice to be able to assign shortcuts to, let’s say, 3 to 5 presets we choose. No need to open the left panel (and to wait for the presets to preview)… And possibility to apply these presets even in Browse mode. Heaven…

In Dev mode, I want to compare my ongoing work with another image. I Cmd-clic on the other picture in the film strip (F) and have 2 pictures selected. I press “C” to compare and it goes on the crop tool. Not smart. In browse mode I select a picture (detail view) and clic Q...

Due to the absence of a history you have to use [Ctrl]+Z to step backwards. If you have to go back several steps, and accidentally go to far, there is no [Ctrl]+Y to re-do that step. If it was a complicated mask then this is a real pain. Please implement a [Ctrl]+Y as in Lightroom.

It would be convenient to have a toggle at the top of the Effects and Local Adjustments panes to turn off or on all the effects/adjustments at once. When the program starts to crawl and stutter, particularly when masking or when computationally expensive effects like sharpening or dynamic contrast have been applied, it is often...

As part of my workflow I very often want to quickly toggle on/off any applied setting. E.g. The value of a single saturation slider, Temperature, Vignette Brightness, etc… Currently there are several ways to do that, but they each apply to a group of settings rather than only one setting: 1. “Preview On/Off” via the...

Currently it takes 3 clicks to switch between mask views, something I am finding that I am doing quite frequently. A keyboard short cut to do this would speed up this action.
A double click brings you from Grid mode to the picture, but not back to the Grid mode. To do this it requires mouse movement or using “G” key. For faster browsing and checking a mouse click would be more comfortable. (Lightroom style)

Still waiting on on1 finally adding the keyboard short cut to zoom your image to 100%. If you want on1 Raw to be a lightroom alternative. in my opinion I should be able to have identical workflow option. Also no HSL adjustment

Today there are limitations for e.g. german keyboard layout.   Example for a german keyboard limitation on Mac: With a german keyboard, you can not use brackets [ ] to control brush size (smaller/larger) with brackets as a shortcut. Changing your brush size, is a frequently used usecase in editing fotos. Brackets on a german...

Currently when you’re working on a mask and want to switch the view mode, the only way is to go to the menu, scroll to the bottom, then move to the right to select the mode. There should be an easier way to do this. I would like to see one of these options implemented....
Sometimes all I want to do is copy & paste one filter with certain settings to several photos without using presets and without overwriting the present filter stack in each image.
When I am in the develop module and I want to work on the next or previous photo in my folder I first have to back to the browse module. There I can press the left or right arrow key to go to the previous or next photo in the choosen folder.  It would speed...

Hi, I’ve seen a lot of people asking for all kinds of keyboard shortcuts (I’ve the ideas for this one searched before), however, I believe it would be much easier to create a menu for this issue, similar to all kinds of IDE’s for programming. If you’ll add an “export key-bindings” to a file, people...

It is too cumbersome having to go into the Crop module and click the level icon to straighten the horizon, which is something I do with more or less all photos. A keyboard shortcut (similar to Camera Raw) would be a good addition.

Hi, the first step of my workflow is to pick and reject photos. It really drives me crazy that the P and X keys have to be used for this, and they are on opposites ends of the keyboard.  I have to move my hands and look at the keys frequently to do this process...

Already several suggestions on how to add more useful shortcuts. I really miss having a shortcut to return directly to Browse grid view – from ‘any’ module. «G» is the obvious choice.

Quick Export has a keyboard shortcut, but I haven’t been able to find one for the detailed Export function; it would help streamline my workflow.
Since you started to bring out on1 one feature I am missing is to zoom with a keyboard short especially when culling and also when working on a photo. As you want it to be a Lightroom alternative I wish that feature should be included . To have the Z key to zoom to 100%...

I would like to be able to create and use custom presets of particular filters configurations in the Browse menu, e.g., show only thumbnails my Album or other display that have a Pick/Heart tag (or a specific number of stars) which also have a particular set of keywords or other advanced criteria in the metadata....

It would be useful to be able to click a button and collapse the entire filter stack on an edited photo. Even a keyboard shortcut such as Shift+C would be great. I’ve used that in other programs and love it. It’s a bit annoying to go into a photo that has been processed and have...

I think it would be very handy if I can switch the orientation of gradient masks or masking bugs by pressing X. This is a no brainer because every ON1 users already knows this key function when using the brush.

It would be nice to have a single keypress to toggle the filter on and off, rather than having to scroll all the way down to turn it on or off and then scroll all the way back. It would also be useful to be able to press a single key to move to a...

This is a simple one, just add a keyboard shortcut to activate the add keyword field in the Browse module. It’s gonna take you like 2 seconds;-)
