About the ON1 Photo RAW Project

The ON1 Photo RAW Project gives you the chance to be a part of what we're developing at ON1. You have a voice in the future of photo editing. Your ideas will help us deliver the best available apps for photography, give us insight into what's most important, and help spark innovation.

You must log in to submit an idea.

Share Your Ideas

Share your ideas for new Photo RAW features. Make sure you write a convincing description. Remember, people won't be able to give an idea a high rating unless they understand the idea completely.

Tell Your Friends

With supporters, your ideas will get higher ratings. In fact, tell everyone you know to support your idea. The more ratings an idea gets, the more likely it will be sent to our product development team.

ON1 Will Review It

After an idea reaches 200 ratings with a 3-star or higher rating, the project team will review the details and begin asking questions. We can't put every good idea into development, but we'll try!

It would be great if we had the ability to copy and paste only some of the settings rather than all of the settings from one photo to many.  For example, one photo might have white balance, contrast, dehaze and sharpening applied, but I may only want to apply white balance and sharpening on the...

I note from todays emails (19 November 2016) that Photo Raw Beta won’t include camera profiles and that these may arrive soon after Christmas. On a Micro 4/3rds Camera, such as Olympus or Panasonic the raw file is processesed in camera, so as to correct all of the lens and camera defects.  The corrections are...

I often apply quite a few different local adjustments in several image areas. That means I now get a list of local adjustemts in the right panel that I cannot easily connect with the area I used it on, because they all have the same name. It would be fantastic to change the name to...

I’d love to have a simple smudge / blur brush. ..Maybe toggled with config setting. Great for touching up edges and blending where the retouch brush fails or is too awkward.

I find it SO annoying that Lightroom cannot just leave the crop tool at my last dimension, or at least have a lock gadget so I can quickly go through dozens of images and set them all for export as 5×7, 8×10, etc. This would be a wonderful time saver!

First: I am not sure this is in the realm of possibility for ON1, but I have extensive Apple Aperture Libraries which I, and perhaps many other Aperture users still try to maintain and use since there currently is no simple way to transition these Libraries to reference files that can be used directly in...

will you be adding keyword sets to ON1 Raw. As a stock photographer I have a assign keywords to photos. Capture One allows you to develop a set of keywords base on the subject and stores those keywords as a save set so you go back to Bluebird(as an example) and all the keywords are...

I would like to see a color cast removal brush similar to the color spill brush in the old masking module. I recently shot a teen fishing event.  Two of the boys had bright orange and line tank tops which reflected back on their faces.   There was nothing in On1 Photo 10.5 to correct this; however, the old color...

A series of lasso tools would be very helpful and keep me from having to use PS. For example, making a selection with a lasso and changing the blend mode for light painting with architectural editing would be very helpful for me. I can only do this in PS and would like to stay in...

In Lightroom you can click and drag on the hystogram to quickly adjust: blacks/shadows/exposure/highlight/whites. I use it a lot!

While making adjustments on the adjustment sliders, it would be nice if you can double click where you made the adjustment on the slider so you can see a before and after without having to go to the adjustment name to reset it. I know many other programs have this feature as well.

Although there are various ways of compiling a time lapse sequence, I find that Lightroom is very useful for processing and synchronising time lapse sequences, any intention to add that into RAW at some stage ?

It would be great if we could edit our photos without using the mouse. Custom keyboard shortcuts will be awesome. Example: Press “Q” to +0,1 and “W” to -0,1 on exposure, “A” to +10 on contrast and “S” to -10 on contrast…

I would love to use a “Mask” function like light room’s Sharpening mask to simply mask dynamic contrast as a simple alternative to using protect sliders.

One of the features in Adobe Capture Raw which I find useful is being able to hold down the option key while using the black and white point sliders (and sharpening masks) so I can visually see how much and exactly where pure black and white are. I think that would be an essential tool...

When using the eye-dropper tool to set a color balance, the sliders should move to reflect the adjustment made (and allow further adjustment) It should be possible to set the eye-dropper to to set colour balance from a neutral, or from one of the “memory colours” – skin tone, sky, grass.

In Preferences you can chose to use the scroll button to manipulate the zoom, the pan, or the brush size. I’ve set mine to control the brush size. I’d like to keep this function and add a new one. To Zoom it would be more efficient for me to hold down CTRL (Windows) while Scrolling...

First thing I do after creating a rated selection of images, is to apply the correct white balance and color profile. Actually it takes quite a bit of time to identify the photo with the color reference, create the correct settings and apply these to all relevant photographs. Why not have the computer to do...

A slide show function would be great (like is available in Light Room). I don’t have Light Room — I use PS CS6 and On1 Perfect Photo 8 (and I got the version 10 modules but I’m waiting till the Raw Processor comes out to dive into those).  The slide show should be simple and...

hallo, could you please add some photoshop tools to refine the mask in an easier way than simple painting : – paint in overlay mode so when you paint gray in black you don’t change white… – dodge and burn with shadows, hughlight,… to easily refine the mask these techniques wre documented for years by...
