November 2018 Photo Critiques

It’s time to submit your images for the November Photo Critiques. The deadline is midnight PST next Tuesday, November 13th. If you haven’t yet offered photos for critique, I urge you to consider participating. There is no better way to improve your photography than to share your work and be critiqued by objective peers — and yes, that excludes spouses, parents, and children. We’re excited to see your images from all over the world roll into this month’s gallery. It’s an open critique, so send in any genre or style you like.

A Quick Exposure Blending Tip

Hi Everyone! In this video, I’ll show you how I blend multiple exposures when HDR is not an option. With the new auto alignment in ON1 Photo RAW 2019 I can easily blend two photographs of this sailboat at sunset together using the gradient mask tool. Fall Color Tips

It’s that time of year again in the Northern Hemisphere. The nights are getting cooler. The air is crisp and the trees are turning color. Fall is my favorite time of year for landscape photography. Nature delivers one last big blast of color to enjoy before winter sets in and it’s time to catch up on my editing backlog. In this video I share some field and editing tips to better capture and post process that sharp, colorful fall feeling.
