It is easy to combine multiple photos together and great creative with ON1 Photo RAW 2018. I put together this short (and fun) video so you can see just how easy it really is. I’ve also included step-by-step instructions below along with the practice files. So please follow along!
One of the handy new tools in version 2018 is the ability to create a color range mask. This allows you to target certain color ranges using a mask which you can then use to selectively apply an effect or filter.
The free ON1 Photo for Mobile app (currently only for iOS, vote for the Android version here) is a great way to take your photos with you. You can sync your favorite photos from your desktop computer to your iOS devices via Dropbox® or Google® Drive. Great for viewing photos, updating the ratings, keywords, and EXIF metadata. With two way sync, you can also send all the photos shot on your device back to your desktop computer automatically.
ON1 Photo for Mobile now available in the Apple® App Store.
New masking options in ON1 Photo RAW 2018 allow you to adjust the density of masks and feather the edges of masks for a smooth transition. The Density slider lets you adjust or fade the overall mask and the Feather slider lets you globally blur the mask to adjust how sharp or precise the mask is.
A luminosity mask is basically a black and white rendition of the photo and these masks are great for allowing you to target tonal ranges with specific effects or filters. I quickly show how to make a few quick adjustments in Develop and then jump over to effects to use the Luminosity Mask feature.
